Kinesh Pather was chipped down to around the starting stack when he got it in with the suited K♠2♠. Michael Cupido had a suited king as well in K♥9♥ and improved on the A♣9♣3♥ flop. The 7♠ turn left Pather drawing dead prior to the 2♥ river.
"You can have your menu back," Pather said and handed the food menu to the player next to Cupido.
Cliton Taliwanth raised to 5,000 with the A♠4♠ and Marko Nortje called in the big blind holding the 7♠7♥. On the 10♥6♦4♥ flop they checked before Nortje bet the 9♠ turn for 5,000 and the A♣ followed on the river. Nortje now check-called for 27,000 with his pair of sevens and was shown the bad news.
With three of the biggest stacks on the live stream feature table now, Franco Da Matta is among the big stacks in the outer field. On the J♣9♠3♥ flop, Franco Da Matta bet 6,000 and William Henderson called in the next seat. The K♥ turn and 9♣ river were checked and Da Matta tabled the Q♦J♦, Henderson mucked his 7♥7♦ face-up.
In a duel of shorter to medium stacks, Hanre Retief was all-in with the Q♦Q♥ and Adrian Andritz looked him up in the next seat with the 5♠5♣. The A♦6♣2♥3♣3♥ board changed nothing and Retief doubled back into contention.
Heads-up to the 10♣6♣5♦ flop, Keegan Naidoo bet and was check-called by Michael Cupido. The same action repeated on the 3♣ turn for 15,000 and they checked the 5♥ on the river. Cupido exposed the 9♠6♦ and Naidoo had that beat with the K♠10♠.
With the breeze of late registration, Day 1c saw the field size boosted to 119 entries and that will ensure 15 players going through of which some 45 hopefuls currently remain. Day 1d has reached the second level with currently three tables in action.
