Jeff Duddy was all-in with A♥Q♥ against the A♠J♠ of Marc Foubib on the previous live stream feature table. The 10♠7♠7♥ flop was a mighty sweat with two spades while the 5♥ turn gave Duddy a flush draw himself.
What followed was the 10♣ river which ensured the split pot instead.
"Are we even now?" Duddy jokingly asked and Foubib shook his head.
Kinesh Pather checked the Q♦8♥4♣J♣ turn out of the big blind and Marko Nortje checked back to the 10♣ river. Once Pather had checked, Nortje bet and the chips didn't even hit the felt yet when he secured the fold of his opponent already.
Some of the last minute entries or shorter stacks from before were eliminated rather swiftly and that included Stephen Courtney, Jehan Richards and Norman Cherry. The latter instantly jumped into Day 1d which already features Jaco Mouton, Nico Du Toit and The Hendon Mob's Roland Boothby.
Just before the end of the previous level, Imran Bhojani was in the big blind and flopped two pair with 7♣5♠ and went into a three-way all-in against Braam van Huyssteen with the J♥10♠ and a third player holding the A♦A♠. The 5♥ turn and K♥ river gave Bhojani the triple-up.
After coming back from the break, Jaryd Jardien got it in with Q♦9♦ against van Huyssteen's A♠5♠ and both players missed the 7♣4♦4♥3♣4♠ board to knock out Jardien.
The overall field size is still to be officially confirmed but several players jumped in at the very last minute to start their journeys with 16 big blinds.

After the completion of level 11, the field has been sent on another 10-minute break and that will be the last chance to jump into the action for the penultimate flight as the registration will close once the cards go back in the air.
Sugen Singh was all-in for 20,000 and his suited cards were up against not one or two pocket pairs but three of them.

The A♥8♠2♣ flop gave the Norwegian top set and he improved to quads on the A♣ turn to make the 6♠ river a formality. Singh as shortest stack with 20,000 was eliminated while Persent nearly tripled, Courtney won the side pot off Van Rooyen.
Simon Solomon raised to 3,000 and Norman Cherry called in the cutoff. Imran Bhojani then jammed for 24,000 on the button and Solomon flat-called, Cherry folded.
