Yu Knocks Out Gavin

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

In the first hand back from the break, Lei Yu opened to 13,000 from under the gun and Gavin three-bet jammed out of the big blind to get snapped off. Gavin already laughed as he knew he was in deep trouble.

Gavin: 102 All in
Lei Yu: 1010

The suited ten needed a lot of help, yet Gavin was drawing dead on the turn of a 86689 runout to depart moments into the new level.

Level 8 : Blinds 25,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Yisha Chen raised from the cutoff to get called only by Stephen Song in the small blind. Song check-raised the K94 flop from 10,000 to 35,000 and Chen called. Both opted to check the 10 on the turn and Song then fired a big bet of 150,000 on the 3 river.

Chen burned through three time banks and then folded.

Nitsche Bluffs Black

Level 8 : Blinds 25,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Dominik Nitsche limped in the cutoff holding 77 and Taylor Black checked his option with QJ in the big blind.

Black check-called a 5,000 bet from Nitsche on the 3Q10 flop and a 14,000 bet from Nitsche on the A turn.

The 2 filled the river and Black checked a final time. Nitsche fired 61,000 into the middle, leaving himself just 1,000 behind.

Black went into the tank and burned a couple time extensions before landing on a fold and Nitsche collected the pot.

Birizdo Runs Kings Into Aces

Level 8 : 25,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Istvan Birizdo
Istvan Birizdo

Taylor Black made it 11,000 to go from the cutoff and Istvan Birizdo three-bet to 35,000 with 132,000 behind from the big blind. The initial raiser double-checked his cards once more and Black just called to see the 843 on the flop.

Birizdo bet 22,000 and Black continued his slow play to just call ahead of the 10 on the turn. With 121,000 in the middle and 110,000 behind, Birizdo bet 40,000 and Black min-raised. The eventual shove by the Hungarian followed and Black instantly called.

Istvan Birizdo: KK All in
Taylor Black: AA

The river was the 9 and Birizdo bowed out in cruel fashion, while Black reached seven figures.
