Jin, however, had flopped the straight with 10♥8♦ and the 10♣ turn as well as J♣ river changed nothing anymore.

Mauricio Salazar Sanchez raised to 50,000 and then called a three-bet to 130,000 by Dong Chen on the button. Following the K♣7♦4♥ flop, Salazar Sanchez check-called for 60,000 and checked the J♦ on the turn. Chen used a tine bank and then bet 125,000 for Salazar Sanchez to call moments before his shot clock ran out.

Salazar Sanchez then opted to open shove the 3♥ on the river for 230,000 effective and Chen went into a deep tank. He used five time banks and then folded. In the meanwhile, Anton Lu was eliminated off a recent short stack and the field plummeted to the final 40 contenders.

James Mendoza raised to 50,000 in middle position and picked up three callers along the way. The flop came K♠K♦7♠ and Mendoza continued with a bet of 75,000. Supeng Pang check-raised to 175,000 from the small blind and Mendoza moved all in. Pang called off his stack of around 500,000 and the cards were tabled.

Pang flopped a full house but Mendoza still had some outs after flopping trip kings. The 4♣ landed on the turn and it was the 8♦ on the river that gave Mendoza a better full house and eliminated Pang.

Once the cards were revealed, Pang grimaced when he was shown the A♥A♣ of Wu as he only held the 8♥5♣.

There were some groans on the 7♠6♣3♠ flop when Pang had an open-ended straight draw. It missed on the 2♥ turn but the 4♥ river sent Wu to the rail.
