Chao Out and Back In

Level 13 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Charles Chao
Charles Chao

Charles Chao raised to 50,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Quan Zhou in the big blind, who used one time bank extension.

Ivan Zhang pointed out to Patrik Demus "open raise fifty" just before Zhou opted to call and check the [7s5d43h] flop. Chao moved all-in and Zhou instantly called.

Charles Chao: QQ All in
Quan Zhou: 53

The 6 turn and K river changed nothing and the entire table cracked up. With a dry voice, Demus mentioned "raise too small".

Chao re-entered and took the seat vacated by Christopher Park only moments earlier.

Some More for Zhang

Level 13 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the tail end of a 885Q3 board, Jun Liu check-called for 90,000 when Ivan Zhang bet on the button. He was shown king-queen for queens and eights and that was enough for Zhang to win the pot.

One table over, Christian Harder sat down for the re-entry while Harry was eliminated on a nearby table. Raffaele Sorrentino three-bet jammed the next hand on their table but Charles Chao as the initial raiser folded.

The turn was the K and Huang slid out a stack of 25,000 chips. Cates quickly called off his stack of 125,000 and the cards were tabled. Huang turned over KQ for two pair while Cates was in need of some help with AK.

The 6 completed the board and Cates was eliminated as he headed to the empty part of the room to continue his massage.

Black Doubles Before Break

Level 13 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the last hand before the break, the action folded to Taylor Black in the small blind who ripped all in for his last 87,000 chips. Jieming Xu was in the big blind and deliberated for a moment before making the call.

Taylor Black: 109All in
Jieming Xu: 65

The flop came A106 with the six in the window but it was quickly followed by the ten to give Black the better of the two pairs. The K on the turn made things sweaty as Xu picked up a flush draw but the A on the river ensured Black of a double up.

Ivan Zhang

Quan Zhou raised to 25,000 and Ivan Zhang called in the next seat. Jun Liu then three-bet out of the big blind and both opponents called.

Following the 833 flop, Liu continued for 65,000 and Zhou called. Zhang pushed for 308,000 and Liu reluctantly folded while Zhou called after some consideration.

Ivan Zhang: J8 All in
Quan Zhou: 77

The K turn saw Liu bang his hand on the table as he spoke some words in Chinese and added "a k" [ace king] prior to the A river. Patrik Demus glanced back as to that happened and Zhang gave him the cliffs, while Lee told Demus "ace king" as to what Liu had murmured.
