Ma Four-Flushes for a Healthy Pot

Xiao Zhu raised to 20,000 in early position and Pan Wang three-bet to 55,000 in the hijack. Haohui Ma stuck in a four-bet to 135,000 on the button and Zhu five-bet shoved all in for 408,000. Wang stepped aside and Ma asked for a count before making the call.

It was looking like a chopped pot between the two ace-king hands but the flop of 754 gave Ma the lone freeroll. The 2 landed on the turn and Ma picked up a flush draw which got a rise from the table.

"Spade!" Ma shouted as the J hit the river and Zhu was left devastated as he exited the tournament area.

Wang Doubles Off Nguyen

Haobin Wang was all-in for a mere 117,000 and earned a caller in Minh Quang Nguyen from the next seat, all other players behind opted to fold.

Yuan Forces Out Ooi

A larger pot of more than 500,000 emerged to the J86AJ river on which Sean Ooi in the small blind bet 250,000. Yilu Yuan was his only opponent on the button and eventually pulled the trigger with a shove, forcing an instant fold from Ooi who dropped all the way in the middle of the pack.

Ivan Zhang raised it up from early position and Calvin Lee moved all in for just shy of 100,000 in the small blind. Zhang quickly called and the cards were face up.

The flop came 543 which boded well for Zhang with the over pair and the best draw. The 5 on the turn changed nothing but the Q on the river got a reaction from the table as Lee spiked a pair of queens to double up.

Gong Doubles Through Jia

The chips went into the middle preflop and Xiangqian Gong had the best of it for his last 255,000 with AA, as William Jia only revealed the 77. With both suits covered as well, there were no shenanigans on the Q64J2 board and Jia was left on fumes.

Huang Loads Up the Barrels

Minh Quang Nguyen raised to 20,000 in the cutoff and Jiawei Huang three-bet to 65,000 from the small blind. Nguyen called and they went heads-up to the Q109 flop.

Huang led out with a bet of 45,000 and Nguyen called to see the K on the turn. Huang fired out another bet of 55,000 and Nguyen still called. The K paired the board on the river and Huang ripped all in for 255,000. Nguyen burned through one of his time banks but eventually laid his hand down.

Gary Thompson flopped with 88 against the AQ of Weijue Cai and came out on top to reach seven figures next to another large stack in Istvan Birizdo.

In the next hand, Charles Chao was all-in with J10 and declared "lucky hand" when he was up against the A4 of Jiaming Zhao in the bi blind. The Q108A2 board gave both players a pair and that spelled the end for Chao.
