Hofer Wins at Showdown Without Showing

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Robert Hofer saw action folded to him in the cutoff and opened to 4,500. Ryan Scully called from the small blind and the big blind defended to take postflop action three ways.

The flop dropped {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Hearts} and all three players checked, bringing the turn {3-Clubs}. Scully led out for 6,000 and received a call from the big blind before Hofer got out of their way.

The river came {4-Spades} and Scully checked. The big blind thought for a few moments and then threw out a bet of 13,000. Scully quickly tossed in a chip to signify that he had called.

Upon seeing the call, the big blind immediately dropped his cards onto the muck pile from the one-seat and Scully followed suit, exchanging his cards for the pot without the need or desire to show.

Pupillo Fires Thrice

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

Aaron Massey was overheard joking as he needled Nick Pupillo over a hand that he had recently played that left Pupillo upset after the fact. Massey joked with Pupillo, asking how often he played hands that he was unhappy about, asking if it was one hand every three weeks. Pupillo played along as he got up and grabbed a bottle of water.

"Relax kid, you'll get it back," assured Massey.

Moments later, Pupillo opened to 5,000 from under the gun and was called by the small blind. The flop came {5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Pupillo made a continuation-bet of 10,000 after the small blind checked to him. He received a call.

The turn was {q-Clubs} and the small blind checked again. Pupillo fired a second barrel for 21,000 and the small blind thought for a bit before making the call.

The river fell {9-Hearts} and the small blind checked to Pupillo once more, who emptied the clip with a third barrel of 24,000. The small blind quickly folded.

Goepel Climbing Quickly

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

There was around 30,000 in the pot on a board of {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Travis Lauson had bet 16,200 from the big blind. Dan Goepel was on the button and raised him to 79,000.

Lauson thought for over two minutes and eventually elected to push his cards forward on the felt in a face-down manner to muck them, resulting in the pot being sent to Goepel.

"Wanna see it?" asked Goepel as the pot was being pushed to him. Lauson shook his head no and Goepel nodded to affirm. He then looked back at one card. "I'll show you," he said and turned over {7-Diamonds}.

Thomas "Doubles" With Two Reshoves

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Hand #1: Robert Mitchell was under the gun and opened to 3,500. Action folded around to Lisa Thomas, who pushed forward all of her chips and announced a raise to 14,700. The math added up to prove she was all in and action folded back to Mitchell, who thought for a few moments before letting his cards go as well.

Hand #2: On the following hand, Phil Mader opened to 3,000 from early position and Thomas three-bet all in again. Action folded back to Mader.

"Easy," he said with a grin as he sent his cards to the muck.

Meanwhile, Thomas has increased her stack from 14,700 to 29,200 after winning the two consecutive pots and now finds herself with a workable 20 big-blind stack.

Goepel Wins Big Flip To Double

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Dan Goepel
Dan Goepel

Johanssy Joseph opened the action with a raise to 3,500 from early position and the player on his direct left called, also from early position. Action folded to Dan Goepel, who shoved all in from the hijack. The players behind him folded and Joseph followed suit to put action back onto the early-position caller.

The player asked for a count and Goepel's stack was totaled to be 33,300. A call was then announced and the two were off to the races.

Dan Goepel: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Early Position: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Goepel pulled ahead on the flop {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Spades} when he paired his ace and was able to hold as the turn {3-Spades} and river {2-Hearts} completed the runout.
