Putra vs. Bicknell

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ferdinand Putra raised to 5,000 from the hijack and Kristen Bicknell three-bet to 15,000 from the cutoff. Bicknell called when the action folded back to her, and the flop fell {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

Putra checked and then raised to 35,000 after Bicknell bet 10,000.

Bicknell called, and the {7-Spades} hit the turn. Putra bet 75,000, and Bicknell went into the tank sat with 170,000 behind.

The Canadian used three time bank cards before she decided to fold and Putra clawed in the pot.

Schulman Starts to Build Early

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Igor Kurganov opened to 4,500 from early position, Charlie Carrel called in the small blind and Nick Schulman three-bet to 22,000. Both of his foes called and the dealer fanned out {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} on the flop.

Action checked to Schulman, he bet 42,000 and only Carrel stuck around to see the {j-Hearts} turn card. After using a time extension, Schulman moved all in and Carrel folded, moving the healthy-sized pot to Schulman.

Xuan Continues to Climb Through Watson

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The turned board read {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and there was around 65,000 in the middle. Tan Xuan bet 32,000 and Mike Watson called behind to see the {8-Hearts} river card.

Xuan counted out chips and then slammed in 205,000. Watson instantly mucked his hand and Xuan took down yet another early pot.

Phua Hits a Flush Against Kurganov

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Igor Kurganov raised to 5,000 from the cutoff, and Paul Phua called in the small blind before Michael Chi Zhang made up the rest from the big blind.

Kurganov continued for 5,000 after the flop fell {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}, and only Phua called.

Phua led out for 15,000 when the {2-Spades} hit the turn, and Kurganov called.

The river revealed the {7-Clubs} and Phua bet 40,000.

"You have a small flush, Paul?" questioned Kurganov.

"Oh well, I have to see it" the Russian added seconds later before he flicked in a calling chip.

Triton co-founder Phua indeed did have the small flush with {6-Spades}{4-Spades} and Kurganov open-mucked {j-}{9-} for a straight.
