I Spiess With My Little Eyes Three of a Kind
Level 6
: Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Mantas Liachauskas opened to 8,000 in early position and was called by Chih-Yuan Wang in the cutoff and Hubert Spiess on the button, as well as Daniel Hyongin Lee in the big blind.
Action checked to Spiess on the flop of J♦9♣7♠ and he bet 20,000. Lee folded and Liachauskas check-raised to 60,000. Wang folded and Spiess moved all in for 124,000. Liachauskas called with a bigger stack.
Hubert Spiess: 7♥7♦
Mantas Liachauskas: A♥J♠
Spiess was far in front with a set and nothing changed on the runout of 5♥2♠ to earn him a double.
