The remaining 196 players have been sent on their final 15-minute break of the day.
Chaofan Lei in the big blind three-bet to 100,000 following an open raise to 30,000 by Konstantin Held. The latter then clicked it back to 200,000 and Lei reraised to 390,000. Held pushed all-in for Lei to go with it for a massive pot of almost 1.8 million.
Chaofan Lei: A♣5♥
Konstantin Held: A♠A♥
The 10♣4♠2♦4♣9♣ board had a sweat for the aces but Held held to become one of the big stacks.
A couple of hands later, former big stack Koichi Chiba pushed all-in for 189,000 and Held called two seats over.
Koichi Chiba: 3♥3♣
Konstantin Held: Q♥Q♣
The 10♣9♦6♠10♦2♥ board gave Held another boost.
Kristen Foxen made it 30,000 to go and Chao Duan was the only caller in the big blind. The 10♣8♣2♥ flop saw Duan check-call for 30,000 and he then led the 9♥ turn for 75,000, Foxen called. Duan bet the 6♠ river for 250,000 out of a stack of 375,000 and Foxen pushed all-in.
Duan sighed, went into the tank and eventually called.
"You are good," Foxen said and flipped over her cards. One jack showed first and Duan asked "jacks" before he got shown the K♦J♦ for a missed gutshot only. Duan revealed his 7♣4♣ and doubled with his ten-high straight.
"I tried," Foxen smirked.
Christopher Mateo opened to 30,000 in the hijack and Felix Rabas called in the cutoff.
Mateo continued for 35,000 on the flop of A♦9♦10♥ and Raba called. Mateo sized up to 91,000 on the 6♠ turn and Raba laid it down.
Cindy Tanjaya raised to 30,000 on the button and Lester Edoc three-bet to 80,000 from the small blind for Tanjaya to call. On the 10♠7♦2♥ flop, Edoc continued for 55,000 and Tanjaya raised it up to 175,000.
Edoc needed three time banks before he folded.
One table over, Aorigele from China raised to 30,000 and Roman Stoika three-bet big to 110,000 in the small blind. The initial raiser made it 220,000 to go and Stoika folded.
Vincent Huang opened to 35,000 in the cutoff and Artem Kobylynskyi three-bet to 115,000 in the big blind. Huang called.
Kobylynskyi sized down to 40,000 on the Q♥5♥2♠ flop and Huang laid it down.
Out of a field of 526 entries on Day 1b, only around 209 players remain in contention. That is no longer the case for the following players below as they have all been eliminated recently.
Shung Er Sua jammed for 171,000 in the hijack and Chao Duan called in the next seat, all other players behind folded.
Shung Er Sua: 2♣2♥
Chao Duan: A♣J♣
The suited ace failed to connect with the 10♥9♥4♠5♥5♠ board and the mighty ducks kept Sua in the mix.
First to act, Matas Cimbolas opened to 30,000 and he then called the small blind shove by Hao-Ting Chao for 125,000.
Hao-Ting Chao: J♠J♦
Matas Cimbolas: 9♠9♥
Both players held pocket pairs and Chao's jacks remained ahead all the way on the K♣4♠4♥4♦6♠ to double with the superior full house.
