Dream Flop, Nightmare River for Haxton
Level 16
: Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Isaac Haxton raised to 50,000 from under the gun, and Candy Lin defended her big blind.
On an 8♣Q♠J♥ flop, Lin checked to Haxton, who bet 35,000. Lin then check-raised to 80,000, and Haxton called.
Lin moved all-in on the K♠ turn, and Haxton wasted no time putting his 170,000 into the middle.
Isaac Haxton: Q♦Q♣
Candy Lin: A♥A♣
Haxton had flopped best to overtake Lin's aces, but the drama wasn't over. The dealer burned and turned the river, completing the board with the A♠, giving Lin a better set and ending Haxton's event.
