Seven-Figures for Wasserson, Rail for Phua

Level 13 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Yu Zhang raised to 24,000 from the cutoff, and Eric Wasserson three-bet to 550,000 on the button. Paul Phua committed his 172,000 from the small blind, and Zhang folded.

Eric Wasserson: AK

There was no relief for Phua on the 827J7 runout, bringing his Triton Invitational to an end.

Jesse Lonis
Jesse Lonis

Jesse Lonis raised to 26,000 in the cutoff, and Nick Petrangelo three-bet to 65,000 on the button. Lonis four-bet shoved for 369,000, and, with a slightly shorter stack, Petrangelo called.

Nick Petrangelo: AQ All in
Jesse Lonis: KK

The 759 flop offered Petrangelo little help, but he did pick up new outs on the 10 turn. Alas, the J completed the board, and Lonis claimed Petrangelo's stack.

Nitroll? Kulev and Kenney Clash

Level 12 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Kulev

Bryn Kenney raised to 20,000 in the hijack, which Eric Wasserson called on the button, and Candy Lin and Alex Kulev called from the small and big blinds.

The action checked to Wasserson on a 98A flop, who bet 30,000. Lin folded, but Kulev and Kenney called.

The 10 turn saw Kenney take his betting lead back, betting 85,000. Wasserson folded, but Kulev check-called.

Kulev checked a third time on the 2 river, and Kenney piled on the pressure, moving all-in. Kulev's 311,000 was the shorter of the two stacks, so he was deciding for his tournament life. After spending more than a couple of minutes in the tank, Kulev told Kenney, "I'm sorry in advance for the nitroll", before eventually calling.

Kenney tabled K8, and Kulev rolled over the winner with his A10.

Greenwood Joins the Rail

Level 12 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Semi Sun raised to 23,000 from under the gun, and Jon Vallinas called on the button. Sam Greenwood then three-bet all-in for 111,000 from the small blind. Sun called, and Vallinas folded.

Sam Greenwood: KJ All in
Semi Sun: AK

A difficult position became harder for Greenwood when the dealer dealt a 3106 flop. He found some extra outs on the 9 turn, but when the J completed the board, Sun's flush sent Greenwood crashing out.

Thorel Holds On to Double

Level 12 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 20,000 from under the gun, which Bryn Kenney called in the hijack. Candy Lin then three-bet to 75,000 from the small blind. Thorel responded with another raise of his own, four-bet shoving for 299,000. Kenney folded, but Lin called.

Jean-Noel Thorel: 44 All in
Candy Lin: AQ

The 9J368 board offered no help to Lin, instead providing Thorel a full double-up.
