Eames' House on the River

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

John Eames is getting the better of Full Tilt Poker Tour Ambassador Sin Melin.

In a three-way pot, Melin checked the {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop in the small blind and Eames bet 750 in the big blind. Team PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo called and Melin made the overcall.

All three checked the {10-Diamonds} turn before Melin also checked the {8-Spades} river. Eames now bet 1,400 and de Melo tanked for several minutes before folding. Melin quickly called.

Eames showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a rivered full house. Melin flashed a seven.

Adeniya Doubles

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Martins Adeniya
Martins Adeniya

There was an open from early position to 450 with two callers including Chihao Tsang, a PokerStars Qualifier. From the big blind, Full Tilt Poker Ambassador Martins Adeniya made it 2,000. Tsang was the only caller and they saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}. Adeniya bet out for 2,000 and was raised to 5,300 by Tsang. Adeniya made the call and they saw a turn card of {8-Diamonds}. Now, Tsang bet 5,300 and Adeniya called. The river was a {7-Diamonds} and Adeniya had 12,800 behind. He moved it all in and a puzzled Tsang made the call. He was slightly surprised, and not a little disappointed, to see Adeniya turn over {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for the straight, crushing his {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} which had flopped a set.

Greenstein Doubles

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Some pre-flop raising saw Barry Greenstein all in against Neil Raine, a PokerStars qualifier. “Ow.” Was Raine’s reaction when he saw his {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} was crushed by Greenstein’s {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Greenstein doubled up.

Rob Yong has finally sat down at Greensteins table after late-regging, telling the table that this was the way to make level five.

They saw a flop of {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Slusarek check / called a bet of 700 from Boeree. Turn card came the {6-Diamonds} and Boeree again got a call when she bet a bigger 1,800. The final card was the {2-Clubs} and Slusarek made his final check. Boeree reached for chips and made it 4,800. Slusarek shrugged and called. Can't Find a Four on the Richter Scale

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

The dream is over for PokerStars qualifier Kevin Santner. The German moved all in for his last few thousand chips from the hijack with {A-Spades}{4-Spades} but ran into compatriot Sebastian Richter's {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} on the button.

The board came {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{K-Hearts} and Santer, after a quick handshake, disappeared to the rail.

Calling the Clock on Yourself

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

With the board reading {10-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}, the action had been checked across to Simon Fuller who had bet 5,500 on the end.

The player in middle position (missing his ID boo!) tanked for about five minutes before calling the clock on himself. Finally, he made the call while Gordon Huntly folded behind him.

Fuller turned over {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the flush and the other player mucked, saying,, "That jack...that jack was the worst card for me..."
