Coughlan Doubles Through Browning

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Paul Coughlan
Paul Coughlan

Paul Coughlan was all in against James Browning, a crucial flip for both these players.

Coughlan: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Browning: {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}

Coughlan put on his coat and stood behind his chair - a sure sign he was going to win this one - and the board came {3-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} to double him up and leave Browning as the short stack.

Greenstein Doubles Up

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

All the money went in before the flop with Chris Straghalis holding {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and putting Barry Greenstein at risk. But Greenstein had the advantage with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. There were gasps as right in the window the dealer showed {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} but the second card revealed gave Greenstein the higher set. Turn {4-Hearts} river {8-Clubs} leaving Greenstein in good shape.

Cheetham Busted

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Lewis Cheetham
Lewis Cheetham

Richard Milne has been finding the big hands today, and, more crucially, been finding people willing to go up against him.

He got action while holding {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for the second time in the last couple of hours as Lewis Cheetham was all in with {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Spades} to make Milne a boat, leaving 21 players remaining.

Straghalis Survives

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Straghalis
Chris Straghalis

It has been a soul destroying level for Rational Group Staff member Chris Straghalis. Losing a massive pot to Barry Greenstein he was then involved in several open, fold to a raise spots as his stack and table image melted away. To make matters worse he was sat to the right of fearless Duncan McLellan who had a ton of chips. It was the last hand before the break and it was folded round to Straghalis in the small blind who decided to shove for 54,000. McLellan checked his cards, thought, and decided to give him a spin. Straghlis looked crushed and tabled {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}. “No you’re good.” Said McLellan and showed {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Straghalis got up from his chair, put his jacket on and said “I never win these.” He did though as the board ran out {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

On Your Marks...

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Colin Marks
Colin Marks

Colin Marks was on the right side of an unavoidable cooler against former UKIPT champion Sam Razavi.

Marks: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Razavi: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board came {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Marks doubled up to over 400,000.

Ellwood Felled

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jack Ellwood
Jack Ellwood

Jack Ellwood was all in for his last 177,000 preflop from the big blind against Dahe Liu.

Ellwood: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Liu: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The board came {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Ellwood was drawing dead by the turn.

Dunwoodie Done

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Thomas Dunwoodie
Thomas Dunwoodie

Thomas Dunwoodie moved all-in for his last 27,000, Duncan McLellan made the call as did Alexander Schilt in the big blind. They saw a flop of {7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Schilt checked and McLellen put a stack of blues out to encourage Schilt to fold which he did. Dunwoodie, at risk, turned over {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} and McLellan showed {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Exasperated, Schilt claimed to have folded {a-}{9-}. The turn was the {2-Hearts} and the river {5-Spades} to eliminate Dunwoodie.
