Top Pair Good For Moti

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

From early position, Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody raised to 1,600 and was called by Sunil Moti on the button. Adam Prickett was in the small blind and he put in a raise of his own, this one to 3,700. Both Cody and Moti called.

Prickett led for 6,500 on the {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and only Moti called. The {A-Diamonds} was checked by both players, as was the {2-Clubs} river.

Moti showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and won the with his pair of kings, besting the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} of Prickett.

Worley-Roberts is on Fire!

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

"Ace king versus nines, it was really exciting" Deborah Worley-Roberts said as we walked passed table 10. Worley-Roberts was the one on the winning side of that coin flip, and would win some more chips the next hand.

Lukas Dimsa opened for 1,600 from middle position and Worley-Roberts called from the button. The big blind called as well.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the big blind and initial raiser Dima both checked. Worley-Roberts fired out a bet of 3,000 and the big blind instantly folded. Dimsa made the call however.

Dimsa check called another 6,000 on the {A-Hearts} turn and 10,000 on the {7-Hearts} river.

Worley-Roberts showed {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Dimsa mucked. "Girls' on fire!" Worley-Roberts laughed.

Plant Growing Slowly

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Ryan Plant returned from dinner short stacked and is attempting to rebuild to give himself every chance of progressing to Day 2. He's doing this by moving all-in whenever the opportunity presents itself, and just raised all-in during three consecutive hands.

On the first of those shoves, Fraser Macintyre opened to 1,700 from under the gun and after one player folded, plant moved his 14,000 stack into the middle. MacIntyre eventually folded and showed the table his {2-Clubs}.

Gillings-Brier Runs Out of Luck

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante
Zoe Gillings-Brier
Zoe Gillings-Brier

We've been informed that Zoe Gillings-Brier, a talented snowboarder from the Isle of Man who today was sponsored by PokerStars, bust during the last hand before the break.

Gillings-Brier was all-in with {A-}{A-} versus her opponent's {K-}{K-} only for a king to land on the flop to send her to the rail. A nasty way to bust, but as they often say: that's poker.
