Simpson and Koop Leading

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

Niko Koop and Ian Simpson have both increased their stacks significantly while a four-way pot took place over on table five just before the break.

Vincentius van Oosterhout bet the flop {9-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for 20,000 and just Jonny Domstedt called. Both checked the {Q-Clubs} turn before Domstedt's bet of 20,000 on the {6-Spades} river won the pot without showdown.

Geens and Hoogendijk Eliminated

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

The seat of Bert Geens is now occupied by Tom Verbon and three other players have been eliminated very recently as well. Mark Heirman, Vytautas Kacerauskas and Daan Hoogendijk are no longer in the tournament.

Hoogendijk lost a flip for 55,000 chips with {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} against the {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} of Niels de Wijs and the field has been reduced to 67 hopefuls. Only 36 will make the money and the first break of the day takes place shortly.

Verkuylen's Queens no Good

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

Mark Verkuylen raised from early position and then got his stack into the middle of the table after finding resistance in the person of Dmytro Gukov out of the big blind. Verkuylen immediately sighed when he spotted the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} of his opponent, holding {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} himself.

The board ran out {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and that was it for Verkuylen.

A Day to Forget for ten Cate

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante
Jonas ten Cate
Jonas ten Cate

Jonas ten Cate experienced a very brief and difficult day at the tables before moving all in for 12 big blinds with {K-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. Niels de Wijs looked him up with {A-Spades}{2-Clubs} and the ace-high won it on a board of {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Marillaud With Huge Stack

Level 12 : 1,600/3,200, 400 ante

The elimination of Rutger Coomans took place in a huge confrontation with Jessy Marillaud. The Frenchman had opened to 6,500 and Cooman three-bet to 18,000 before five-bet jamming for around 180,000 with {A-}{K-}. Marillaud looked him up with pocket kings and the board stayed clear.

Below are some other big stacks as well as the exit of Alexandre Martins.
