Reard Picks Off a Bluff
Level 16
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jeremie Canetti opened to 16,000 from early position and received calls from Alexandre Reard in middle position and Othman Benjelloun in the big blind.
The flop came 10♥4♦2♦ and action checked to Canetti who made a continuation bet of 22,000. Both Reard and Benjelloun made the call.
On the 8♥ turn Benjelloun checked, Canetti fired a second barrel for 58,000, Reard called and Benjelloun folded.
Canetti bet 98,000 on the A♥ river and Reard quickly called.
Canetti could only show J♠9♠ for a bluff while Reard tabled A♣K♥ for top pair to take the pot.
