The spotlight once again falls on the purple and black felt of Casino de Marrakech today as the 2025 Unibet DeepStack Open (UDSO) Marrakech Main Event plays out its final two starting flights.
Day 1c kicks off at 1 p.m. local time with the same structure that has already tested more than 450 hopefuls across the opening two sessions. Players will sit down with a 50,000 stack and 50-minute levels, playing down to 25% of the field before bagging chips for Saturday’s Day 2. For those looking for one last shot, the Day 1d Turbo gets underway at 9 p.m.
By Friday evening, we’ll know the full field size and prize pool, with all survivors merging into Day 2 tomorrow and a new champion to be crowned on Sunday, September 21.
What's Happened So Far?
The Main Event launched on Wednesday with 210 entries and played nearly twelve levels before the field was whittled down to 52 survivors.
Thierry Oldak led the way with 545,000 after another successful outing in Morocco, where two of his biggest career results have come. He was chased by fellow countrymen Salah Eddine Taleb (517,500) and Frederic Popot (479,500).
Unibet ambassador Alexandre Reard made it through on a short stack, but fellow ambassador Arnaud Enselme was among the casualties, and has yet to book his spot in Day 2.
Thursday’s second flight swelled the field to 466 entries as 256 players took their shot. After twelve levels, 63 were left standing, with Mustapha Berraho out in front on 510,000. Marius Agica (426,500) and French bracelet winner Said El Yousfi (425,000) rounded out the top three, while Mauro Dantas (384,000) and Jean Dumartin (384,000) also finished strong.
The final elimination of the night saw French comedian Ahmed Sylla bust with suited connectors against Dumartin’s ace-ten.
