Condon Triples Up, Marchese Spikes a River for Big Side Pot

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante
Tom Marchese
Tom Marchese

There was a three-way all in following Ben Yu's double up and Alex Condon was inevitably in the middle of it having just six big blinds. However, there was a large side pot between Tom Marchese and Andy Park.

Alex Condon: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Tom Marchese: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Andy Park: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Condon hit one of the best flops he could ask for, despite being dominated by both of his opponents. The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and it was Condon's turn to turn a flush to wrap up the main pot.

There was still a side pot to fight for, with Andy Park being the player at risk for around 80,000 chips. The dealer burned and turned the {k-Spades} on the river and Marchese spiked a two-outer to crack Park's aces.

Yu Turns a Flush to Double Up

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante

The flop read {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} with around 17,000 in the middle and two players remaining in the hand. The action was checked to Alex Condon on the button who bet 12,000 and Ben Yu check-raised all in for 79,500 from the hijack. Condon took his time, using up one of his time extension before making the call.

Ben Yu: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Alex Condon: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Condon was out front with a pair of queens against Yu's flush draw. However, the {3-Hearts} on the turn gave Yu a flush and a lock on the hand. The {6-Clubs} completed the board and Yu doubled up, leaving Condon with under 10,000 chips.

Ruberto Gets an Unfriendly Welcome to the Table

Level 3 : 500/1,500, 1,500 ante
Bryn Kenney
Bryn Kenney

Not long after Anthony Ruberto took his seat to the left of Bryn Kenney, he was faced with a raise of 3,000 from Kenny on the button. Ruberto called from the small blind and the two players went heads-up to the flop of {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

Ruberto check-called a bet of 3,000 from Kenney on the flop as well as another bet of 9,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn. The river brought the {j-Diamonds} and Ruberto checked for the third time. Kenney fired in a bet of 25,000 and Ruberto looked him up. Kenney tabled {8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair and Ruberto was forced to muck his cards.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu opened to 2,500 from the cutoff and Sean Winter three-bet to 11,000 from the small blind. Sean Perry folded his big blind and Negreanu called to see a flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}.

Winter led out for 6,500 and Negreanu stuck around to see the {k-Hearts} on the turn. Both players checked to the {k-Clubs} on the river and Winter fanned a bet of 50,000. Negreanu thought for his allotted 30 seconds before folding before having to use his time extension.

Kempe Forces a Fold from Lichtenberger

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,500 ante

With a little over 35,000 in the pot, the dealer fanned the flop of {k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Rainer Kempe checked from the small blind and Andrew Lichtenberger put out a small bet of 10,000 from the big blind. Kempe called and the {9-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Kempe checked again and Lichtenberger tossed out another feeler bet of 10,000. Kempe called again and the {10-Spades} completed the board. This time, Kempe used up one of his 60-second time extensions before pushing two stacks of chips into the middle. It was more than enough to cover Lichtenberger's 40,000 chip stack and Lichtenberger instantly flew his cards to the muck.

Kenney Left Short Early On

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The action folded to Sam Soverel on the button who raised to 3,000. Bryn Kenney defended his big blind and the flop came {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Kenney check-called a bet of 4,000 from Soverel and the {q-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Kenney checked again and Soverel continued to fire for a bet of 15,000. Kenney made the call and the {9-Hearts} rolled off on the river. Kenney checked for the third time and Soverel slid in a stack of around 40,000, enough to put Kenney's stack at risk. Kenney quickly mucked his cards and Soverel scooped the pot.

Erik Seidel has jumped out to the early lead at the table, accumulating over 200,000 through the first level.
