Carey Survives

Pavel Ignatov opened under the gun before Justin Carey raised 1,300,000 in the cutoff, leaving just 25,000 behind. The action folded back around to Ignatov and he made the call.

When the 765 flop hit the felt, Ignatov announced all-in, and Carey quickly called.

The Q turn paired Carey's queen, leaving Ignatov drawing dead and the 8 river was just a formality as Carey raked in the double.

Sirzat Hissou and [Removed:564] were left heads-up in the blinds heading to a flop of 976. Hissou check-called a min-bet of 80,000 from [Removed:565] and the J landed on the turn.

Hissou checked again and [Removed:565] sized up a bet of 400,000. Hissou check-raised all in and [Removed:565] snapped him off for his stack of 1,415,000. [Removed:565] tabled 108 for a straight and Hissou was drawing dead with KJ. The river was the 6 and [Removed:565] collected a double up.

Schulman Barrels Three Streets

Level 17 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Nick Schulman opened to 160,000 in early position with KJ and Chris Hunichen defended from the big blind with A4. The flop came AQ6 and Hunichen check-called a bet of 110,000 from Schulman.

The turn brought the 10 and Hunichen checked again. Schulman fired out a bet of 425,000 after making a straight and Hunichen still called with top pair. The river was the K and Hunichen checked for the third time. Schulman sized up another bet of 600,000 and Hunichen used a time bank before letting his hand go.

Daniel Negreanu opened in the cutoff and Anatoly Zlotnikov called on the button.

Negreanu continued for 205,000 on the flop of 369 and Zlotnikov called. Negreanu then sized up to 350,000 on the J turn and Zlotnikov again called.

Negreanu checked on the 2 river and Zlotnikov checked back. Negreanu revealed the 9 for a pair of nines as Zlotnikov turned over QJ to win the pot.

Zubov Gets Value From Tang

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

In a blind versus blind battle, Alexander Zubov bet 80,000 on a flop of AQ6 and Danny Tang called.

The turn was the 7 and Zubov bet another 325,000. Tang again called to see the 6 river, where Zubov bet 725,000.

Tang burned through several time banks before calling as Zubov showed A2 for two pair. Tang mucked and Zubov took down the pot.

Oliver Wakes Up With "Lady Gaga" to Double Off Lin

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Chris Oliver moved all in for 1,235,000 from the small blind and Ren Lin called under the gun.

"Ay, ay, ay, Lady Gaga," Lin said upon seeing Oliver's queens. The board ran out 6108JA and Oliver held on to double up with a flush.

"Gamble too much. My friend, welcome to my company," Lin told Oliver after the hand.

Miscikowski Picks Off Peters in the Blinds

Level 17 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action folded to David Miscikowski in the small blind who just limped in and David Peters checked his option. The flop came 10108 and Miscikowski led out with a bet of 80,000 which Peters called.

The turn was the 7 and Miscikowski checked this time. Peters sized up a bet of 240,000 and Miscikowski stuck around for the 6 on the river. Miscikowski checked again and Peters announced a bet of 600,000. Miscikowski snapped him off and Peters showed J4 for a missed flush draw. Miscikowski held 98 for a straight and raked in the pot.

Wayne Heung opened to 160,000 under the gun and only Alex Kulev came along from the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of 863, and Kulev jammed his last 100,000 across the line. Heung took a couple of seconds before making the call.

Kulev outflopped the ace-king of Heung and managed to hold as the dealer ran out the 2 turn and 9 river.

"We both played it very well," Kulev said as he pulled in the pot.

Ripnick Spikes an Ace to Outs Jattin

Level 17 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

John Ripnick scored an early double up to start the day and he continued the momentum forward. Both he and Farid Jattin got all of their chips in the middle preflop and it was Jattin at risk for around 1,000,000.

The flop came AK4 and Ripnick spiked an ace on the flop to take a big lead. The 5 and 7 runout changed nothing and Jattin was awarded a min-cash.

Dong Chen raised to 160,000 on the button, Jamil Wakil moved all in for 1,700,000 in the small blind, and Chen called.

Wakil needed to improve to stay alive but he couldn't connect with the 972103 board as Chen took the pot to send Wakil to the rail.
