Roles Reversed For Foxen

Level 18 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

Kristen Foxen was forced all in from the big blind for her last 100,000 and was at risk against Alexander Zubov, under the gun, having AxAx against her Kx8x.

On Day 2a, Foxen doubled up on the stone bubble with pocket aces (and min-cashed for $50,000 on one bullet), but today she ran into aces and was eliminated after Zubov flopped a set, and she was drawing dead on the turn.

The remaining 203 players were on the stone bubble.

Dominykas Mikolaitis
Dominykas Mikolaitis

Action was picked up with Dominykas Mikolaitis all in for 520,000 from the big blind, and Belarmino De Souza in middle position putting him at risk.

Dominykas Mikolaitis: QQ All in
Belarmino De Souza: AK

It was a classic race, just three eliminations from the money, but unfortunately for Mikolatis, his queens couldn't hold on the AJ74K runout as De Souza made two pair to knock him out three spots from the money.

Pots for Jozonis & Unlu

Level 18 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Amirpasha Emami opened to 200,000 from early position, and Tomas Jozonis called from the button. Emami check-called for 170,000 on the KJ8 flop, but folded to a bet of 750,000 on the 6 turn.

On the neighboring table, Xixiang Luo raised to 200,000 from middle position, and Sinan Unlu called from the hijack.

The 633 flop checked through to the 3 turn, where Unlu called a bet of 375,000. The 6 completed the board, and Luo fired out 790,000. Unlu chucked several time banks to the dealer while he went into the tank. He eventually found the call, and Luo tabled K9 for a stone-cold bluff. Unlu took the pot with 77.

Severino Turns the Nuts to Double

Level 18 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Action was picked up with Jose Severino all in and Natasha Mercier putting him at risk. Before the cards were turned over, Mercier said, "I don't even know what I have,"

Jose Severino: KQ All in
Natasha Mercier: 32

Mercier had some fun when sweating her cards, and although she had the "dirty diaper," she still had two live cards to bust Severino. She jumped into the lead after pairing her three on the A103 flop. However, it was just momentarily as the J on the turn gave Severino the nuts with Broadway, and the A on the river officially gave him the double-up.

Amirpasha Emami raised to 200,000 from the cutoff and Daniel Negreanu defended his big blind.

Negreanu check-called bets of 125,000 and 350,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read QJ722.

Negreanu checked, and Emami bet 1,075,000.

"Coolered pretty hard here," said Negreanu as he cut out calling chips. "No way I can fold," he added before calling.

"King-high flush," announced Emami, who tabled K3.

"I knew it," said a deflated Negreanu, who's stack slid under seven big blinds. "I had a flush."
