Coleman Heating Up

Level 25 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
David Coleman
David Coleman

David Coleman opened from middle position to 1,000,000, which was called by the big blind Martin Zamani.

After the 8Q2 flop, Zamani check-called a bet of 925,000 from Coleman.

The players then checked to showdown after the 10 on the turn and 7 on the river. Zamani announced "eight," but Coleman turned over the winner with J10 to take the pot.

On the very next hand, Arturs Daugis open-jammed for his stack of 6,975,000 from under the gun and was called by David Coleman on his left, to put Daugis at risk.

Arturs Daugis: AQ All in
David Coleman: KK

Daugis ran into the kings of Coleman, but did flop extra outs after it came Q45. The 6 on the turn and 10 on the river were no help for Daugis and he was sent to the rail as Coleman scooped another pot.

Set of Deuces Lets Engel Climb the Chip Counts

Level 24 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Ari Engel
Ari Engel

Ari Engel opened from the cutoff to 800,000, which was called by the big blind Lou Garza.

The flop came 286 and Garza check-called a bet of 650,000 from Engel.

After the Q on the turn, Garza again check-called a bet from Engel, this time for 1,900,000.

The river was the A, and after Garza checked, Engel bet enough to cover Garza's stack of 9,400,000. Garza went deep into the tank, using three time extensions before flicking in a chip to call.

Engel turned over 22 for a set of deuces. Garza showed AxQx for top two pair before tossing his cards in the muck and leaving the tournament area.

"Hippo Smells Bluff"

Level 24 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

The reigning champion Yinan Zhou opened the action from middle position with a raise to 800,000 and was called by Martin Kabrhel in the big blind.

After the A10Q flop, Kabrhel check-called a bet of 600,000 from Zhou.

Both players checked the 8 on the turn, to see the 7 on the river. Kabrhel then checked to Zhou, who bet out 2,200,000. Kabrhel grabbed his hippo card protector, put him over the bet, and said, "Hippo smells bluff." He then sat there debating his decision before making the call.

It seems the hippo was right, as Zhou turned over K9 for just king-high, as Kabrhel turned over the winner with J8 to take the pot with fourth pair.

As he was taking in the pot, Kabrhel added, "Hippo told me the champion was bluffing too much last year, I had to call."

A champion has already been crowned in the WSOP Super Main Event despite there still being more than a hundred players remaining. That's because Gustavo Silva was multi-tabling online and shipped the $10,300 buy-in GGMillion$ High Roller for $223,824.

"Time to focus now," Silva said as he put his laptop away and went to work with his stack of around 14,000,000 here in the Super Main Event.

Silva will need to get at least 39th place to top the Brazilian's latest online score.

Aldemir couldn't stay ahead as the 3 river landed to give Song-Carrillo a flush to send the 2021 Main Event champion to the rail.

Incredibly, this marks Aldemir's first bustout of the year as it's only his second event. In his first event, the $10,000 8-Game Mix, he won a bracelet.
