Pedro Padilha raised to 250,000 from under the gun with K♥9♥ and was called by Jean-Noel Thorel in the cutoff with A♦10♠.
It was an action flop on the 2♠A♥4♥ board with Padilha flopping the nut flush draw, and Thorel flopping top pair. Padilha then bet out 500,000, and Thorel raised to 500,000. Padilha made the call.
After Padilha check the 4♦ to Thorel, he instantly moved all in for 2,700,000, and Padilha gave up his draw to give the pot to Thorel.
Aleksejs Ponakovs opened on the button with A♣9♣ and Pedro Padilha defended the big blind with 6♦4♣.
Both players checked on the 10♠6♠Q♣2♣8♣ board, where Ponakovs made the nuts on the river with his flush. Padilha checked a third time, but Ponakovs was not, betting 450,000. Padilha gave it some thought before making the cal with his pair of sixes, then saw the bad news, as Ponakovs took the pot.
Adrian Mateos opened to 250,000 from the hijack and Jean-Noel Thorel called from the cutoff.
Mateos check-called bets 150,000 and 500,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read A♦8♠10♣7♣Q♥.
The action checked through to showdown where Thorel's K♥Q♣ rivered a pair of queens to best Mateos' J♣10♠.
Hannes Jeschka shoved for 1,100,000 second to act. Ye Wang called from the hijack for the cards to go on their backs.

Jun Obara raised to 200,000 from early position, and it folded to Yang Wang in the big blind who made the call.
The flop came K♣5♣7♥ and Yang check-called a bet of 100,000 from Obara.
After the 3♠ on the turn, Wang checked to Obara again, who fired out 250,000. Wang raised all in for 850,000, and Obara called to put Wang at risk.

Both players flopped top pair, but Wang's kicker was best. The A♥ on the turn changed nothing, and Wang locked up a much-needed double up.

After the flop came 2♦8♥4♦ Thorel raised a bet of 250,000 from Padilha, to 600,000. Padilha made the call.
The turn brought the 6♠ and Padilha check-called a bet of 1,000,000 from Thorel.
After the 6♣ paired the board on the river, Padilha checked to Thorel, and he bet 1,000,000 once again. Padilha then raised to 2,500,000, and Thorel mucked his hand to give the pot to Padilha.

Alex Kulev opened under the gun to 200,000, and once it folded to Jun Obara in the hijack, he three-bet to 500,000. It folded back to Kulev, who then four-bet all in for 2,100,000, which Obara quickly called to put Kulev at risk.

Kulev four-bet right into the bigger pocket pair, and once the board ran out K♣4♠4♣8♥J♠ Obara's ten remained best, sending to Kulev to the payout desk in 14th place.
Action folded to Jason Koon on the button, and he raised all in for his stack of 1,400,000. It folded to Masato Yokosawa in the big blind who called for his last 650,000, putting himself at risk.

It was a fair fight with Yokosawa needing to improve past the ace high of Koon to stay alive. However, he was quickly drawing dead after Koon flopped quads on the 3♠3♣3♦9♠2♠ runout, ending Yokosawa's deep run.
