Six Levels or Down to 16

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Today's plans have been announced once again by tournament director Christian Scalzi. We will play down to the final 16 players, or six full levels.

We are currently in the fourth level of the day, with one hour left on the clock. If we play the full six levels play will end around 01:00 a.m. local time.

Abdelkader Benhalimam Eliminated

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Raoul Refos opened for 12,000 from the hijack and Abdelkader Benhalimam in the cutoff shoved all in for 61,000. Big blind Barrie Pietersz over shoved for just a 1,000 more, he pushed 62,000 to the middle. Raoul Refos wasn't too excited by all of this, and folded {A-Spades}{J-Spades} after some thinking.

Abdelkader Benhalimam: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Barrie Pietersz: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Benhalimam asked the dealer for an ace. He didn't get the ace, but the {6-Hearts} on the turn did bring him some additional outs. "Alléé! Alléé!" he shouted. To no avail, the {2-Diamonds} on the river did pair him, but it wasn't good enough to stay alive.

Raoul Refos (24th) and Alexey Pak (23rd) Eliminated

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Raoul Refos
Raoul Refos

Aki Pyysing raised to 15,000 from middle position and his neighbor Raoul Refos shoved all in for 70,000. Refos' neighbor Alexey Pak tanked for a fair bit before making the call and action folded back to Pyysing. The Fin four-bet to 160,000 and Pak now moved all in for 379,000 all of the sudden. Pyysing thought about it for a bit, and called.

Raoul Refos: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Alexey Pak: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Aki Pyysing: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

This was Refos' chance to triple up, and than some with the blinds and antes, but it wasn't meant to be.

The flop was already a bit scary for the Dutchman with {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. The {4-Diamonds} on the turn was a blank but the {J-Diamonds} on the river certainly wasn't. Pyysing made the nuts and sent both Refos and Pak packing.
