Schwippert Doubles Through Nanev

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Just before the break, Jan-Eric Schwippert doubled through Rumen Nanev.

The two of them got the chips in before the flop, with Schwippert being the owner of the best hand ({A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}) but fewer chips (209,000) than Rumen Nanev ({A-Clubs}{J-Spades}).

The flop came {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} giving Nanev the open ended. The {J-Hearts} on the turn paired him but the {2-Hearts} was a blank and Schwippert doubled.

Bichon Keeps On Firing

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Fedor Holz opened before the flop and Thomas Bichon three bet to 69,000. Holz made the call.

Holz check called a bet of 75,000 on {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} and check called another 125,000 on the {Q-Clubs} turn.

The river brought the {3-Hearts} to the tabled and Holz checked a third time. Bichon moved all in and had Holz slightly covered. Holz thought about it for some time, before folding and playing on with his 366,000 stack.

Baumann Doubles Through Karlic

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Gaelle Baumann shoved her stack worth 182,000 to the middle from the hijack.

All players were quick to fold except for Gerlad Karlic in the big blind. The Austrian made the call and it was time to turn the cards on their backs.

Gaelle Bauman: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Gerald Karlic: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{A-Hearts} and the {9-Clubs} fell on the turn. The {9-Diamonds} completed the board and Baumann doubled.

Holz Slipping

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Holz has lost several pots in a row now, for the first time slipping under the average in a long time. Most of the pots were small ones, but this one just now was a bit bigger.

Jan-Eric Schwippert opened for 25,000 from the hijack and Pascal Hartmann made the call from the button. The small blind folded and Fedor Holz in the big blind thought for quite some time before calling.

All three of them checked {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and the {J-Diamonds} hit the turn. Holz lead out for 47,000 and Scwippert instantly folded. Hartmann made the call.

The river came the {Q-Clubs} and Holz bet out 109,000. Hartmann schoved all in for about 320,000 and Holz folded with a bit sigh and some signs of frustration.

The river came the {3-Spades} and Hartmann checked again. Bichon bet 135,000 with 245,000 behind and Hartmann eventually folded after some minutes in the tank.

Play Slowing Down

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Not much has happened in the last half hour. Play has slowed down considerably with no real big pots. In 50 minutes the players will go on dinner break. Still 12 players remain. Six more need to go today before the bagging and tagging starts again.
