Last years champion Farid Yachou has been eliminated. We caught him on the rail, and he was kind enough to tell us the details of his bust out hand.
One player limped in and Yachou raised to 1,050. Rumen Nanev made the call and another player squeezed to 4,200. The first limper folded and action was back on Yachou. The Dutchman shoved all in for about 19,000 and his neighbor Nanev repushed for 31,000. The third player tanked for a bit before folding.
Nanev had the better hand with as Yachou tabled . The board blanked out for Yachou and the pot went to Nanev.
Yachou has two cashes on his resume, and both are wins. He still has a shot to go 3 for 3 in WPT tournaments, as he's determined to reenter tomorrow on Day 1b.

"What hand did he have?" asked Mark Roovers as Chino Rheem was making his departure.
"Nine three" answered Alberto Stegeman.
"What?" exclaimed Roovers, who double checked with the dealer.
The table was still a bit in disbelief about what had just happened. Here's the details of the hand.
From first position Mark Roovers opened for 700 and from the hijack Chino Rheem three-bet to 1,900. On the button Patrick Lin cold called and Roovers called as well.
The flop came and Roovers checked. Rheem bet 2,400 and Lin called, Roovers folded.
The fell on the turn and Rheem bet 6,500. Lin called again, while still enjoying a massage.
The completed the board and Rheem shoved for about 30,000. Lin simply tossed in a single 5,000-chip to call.
Rheem got up from the table and motioned he was beat and wanted to muck. Lin showed his and the dealer turned over Rheem's while the 3-time WPT champion Rheem made his way to the exit.
While the players jaws were still on the ground, the dealer got underway dealing a new hand and Lin started stacking his 90,000 stack.

On a board of we witnessed last years champion Farid Yachou check from the big blind. From middle position, Gerard van Veen made a bet of 2,300 and Yachou called.
The hit the river and Yachou checked. Van Veen thought about his next move for a bit, when Yachou said "Chef, you don't have to bluff. That's really not necessary."
Van Veen bet 6,525 and Yachou instantly called. Van Veen showed and Yachou mucked.
"If you would have bet more, I would have called as well." said Yachou.
"Yeah, but there was no way of knowing that for me" remarked Van Veen while stacking his chips.

We ran into Louis Salter on the rail who was kind enough to fill us in on the details of his bust out hand.
The player in seat 9 limped in and his example was followed by his neighbor. Louis Salter raised to 900 and action folded around to the first limper who limp reraised. Salter was the only one calling.
The flop came and the limp reraiser bet 1,500. Salter raised to 6,000 and was called. An off suit hit the turn and Salter shoved all in. His opponent called with and had Salter looking for a diamond or jack with his . The river blanked and Salter hit the rail.

Moshim el Yakoubi was seen sitting on a stack of 80,000, and per request told us some details of two hands he won earlier today.
In the first level of the day he won a big pot from Tonny Krijn where he flatted a three-bet with and check called two streets on a board of , only to lead the river. Krijn called and mucked his upon seeing El Yakoubi's rivered trips.
Yakoubi later won a big pot from Jer El Salsero where they got it in, in a limp reraised pot with set (queens for El Yakoubi) over set (treys for El Salsero) in a rather bizarre hand where Krijn got away from kings.
Krijn has since busted. He went broke just minutes ago as he got it in with kings versus aces on a three club flop. Both had a club, but it did Krijn no good.

Kees van Brugge was first to act and made it 500 from first position. He got called in no less than 5 spots, amongst them his neighbor Tonny Krijn.
"Woah, this ain't a bounty boys" Van Brugge commented while the dealer got underway fanning .
Richard Milne checked from the big blind and Van Brugge shoved all in for 3,775. Krijn reshoved for what appeared to be 12,800 and all the other players immediately got out of the way.
