Marvin Dupre
Marvin Dupre

The seat that formerly belonged to Francisco is now occupied by Helene Gros and Marvin Dupre is no longer in the tournament either after exiting for the same table. Gros sent Dupre to the rail with pocket eights versus pocket jacks after the stacks collided on an nine-eight high flop.

Tsunamy Storms to the Top

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In a battle of the nicknames, Tsunamy emerged victorious to bust Germany's Ali G. The Spaniard and resident of Morocco raised to 3,600 and called the three-bet to 10,600 by the German. After the {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Tsunamy check-raised all in and Ali G called.

Ali G: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}
Tsunamy: {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The magic {K-Diamonds} turn instantly left Ali G drawing dead to make the river a formality and Tsunamy shot to the top of the leader board. His countryman Javier was less fortunate and exited the tournament early on Day 2.

Conan Busts Ben Tahila

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jonathan Therme, William van de Walle and Jawad Ben Tahila have been eliminated.

The latter called a raise to 3,500 before Arthur Conan shoved from one seat over. The initial raiser folded and Ben Tahila called it off with the {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}. Conan had {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and dodged a sweat on the board of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}.

Guilbert Scores Early Double

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Johan Guilbert
Johan Guilbert

Johan Guilbert's stack has grown significantly while start-of-the-day chip leader Ludovic Moryousef no longer holds the top spot. According to Guilbert, he raised to 3,200 and Moryousef called from the big blind before check-calling three barrels for 5,200 on the {J-}{4-}{2-} flop, 22,000 on the {6-} turn and the shove on the {8-} river.

Guilbert showed deuces for bottom set and Moryousef only had {J-}{9-} for top pair.

Lopez Gets Screwed by Le Bihan

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Pugil Lopez raised to 3,500 from under the gun and William van de Walle called before Gael Le Bihan came along from the big blind. On a flop of {A-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} Le Bihan check-raised all in for around 48,000 and Lopez called to table {A-}{10-}.

Le Bihan was in dire shape with the {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} but the magic {4-Spades} on the turn improved the Frenchman to a full house. The {2-Hearts} river blanked and there were gasps by the players at the table, some others from nearby also checked to see what had happened.

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The field has been reduced to 138 hopefuls and among those to bust were Maxime Lemaitre, Sylvain Vignals and Said El Yousfi. Lemaitre got it in with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Il Dieko Rati Vale's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} remained the best hand after a dry board.

Cairat Busts One

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After a raise to 4,000 and a call, a short stack got his chips in with {7-}{4-} on a flop of {K-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} and he was looked up by Pedro Cairat with the {9-Spades}{6-Spades}. Instead of a flush, Cairat got there with running straight cards to boost his short stack slightly.

Among those to bust early were Dominique Malo and Patrick Caveriviere.

Burban Busts Sy and Anto

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

While the dealer announced two seat open over on table four, the cards were all but rushed away. The seats of Anto and Oumar Sy were empty and Pierrick Burban was stacking even more chips after starting the day well above the average.

According to Myriam Mehnana in the two seat, Burban had {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} to better the kings of Sy and the inferior flush of Anto with {8-Spades}{6-Spades} after a third spade hit the river.
