Petiot Runs Out of Chips

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Benoit Petiot three-bet all in for what appeared to be 45,000 in late position and initial raiser Agatino Spitaleri snap-called, tabling {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Petiot was at risk with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and the {K-Spades} in the window was very bad news, Petiot was left drawing dead on a blank turn.

Mermet and Reard Run Good

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Aurelie "run good 4 love" Reard flopped two sets to boost her stack, sending an opponent from Spain to the rail as a result, and her stack eclipsed the current average after a dry start to Day 2.

First she three-bet pocket aces out of the big blind and initial raiser Daniel folded while the other Spaniard called, then went broke with {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for top pair. Reard had an easy call with top set and avoided a runner runner miracle. Another flopped set of fours in the blinds provided more chips and Reard is back on track.

Corinne Mermet also boosted her stack significantly after having dropped below 90,000 not long ago.

Koja Wins Pot; Receives Penalty

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jean Koja only showed one of his cards on the river in a small pot against BAUTIST from Spain and his six had paired up to give the Frenchman showdown value. However, he mucked the second hole cards while BAUTIST flashed {9-}{7-} for nine-high only ... and the floor was called.

Subsequently, Koja was given a one round penalty and he was spotted pacing around the tournament area.

Davies on the Rise

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Will Davies has more than tripled his stack since the start of Day 2 and the Brit just scooped a small pot. After calling a raise on the button, Davies also saw Belmehel Dja Daouadji call from the big blind. The trio checked down the board {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Dja flipped over {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}. The third player in the hand mucked and Davies won the pot with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

"I didn't even know if I had diamonds," Dja admitted and has since dropped below the average.

Mamouni Doubles

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Among the big stacks is Pierre Barthelemy while Saber Harrazi and Cyril Gouilliou disappeared from table 10. Both Pedro Cairat and [Removed:44] started with short stacks right there and boosted their stacks above the average since.

As for Gouilliou, his chips disappeared in two hands. Smain Mamouni shoved for 27,900 with the {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Gouilliou shoved from one seat over. Mamouni won the flip with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} versus {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} thanks to a board {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Gouilliou failed to get there with {J-Spades}{8-Spades} against the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} of Cairat one hand later despite flopping a flush draw and turning a straight draw.

Alexandre Reard

After two players had limped in, Abdessamade El Mzdadi shoved for just shy of 50,000 from the small blind and Alexandre Reard called all in for less than that from the big blind. Both limpers folded and the cards were tabled.

Abdessamade El Mzdadi: {A-Spades}{3-Spades}
Alexandre Reard: {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades} and El Mzdadi got there on the turn to eliminate Reard.

Tsunamy Takes One Down

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

On the three-way turn of {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}, Aleksandras Voisnis checked and so did Tsunamy before Ludovic Moryousef on the button bet 20,000. Only Tsunamy called and the {4-Clubs} river was checked. Tsunamy showed {A-Spades}{2-Spades} for top pair and that won the pot.

Daniel in Charge

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Spain's Daniel started the day third in chips and he just crossed half a million in chips to claim the lead with 90 players remaining.

In the hijack, Arnaud Enselme made it 4,500 to go and Daniel three-bet to 14,000 from the small blind. Enselme four-bet to 33,300 and the Spaniard called. After the {Q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Daniel check-raised all in and Enselme called with pocket kings to see Daniel flip over {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

The {6-Diamonds} on the turn immediately improved the Spaniard and Enselme's hopes of a cash in the Main Event were destroyed.
