Tip the Dealer

An unknown player moved all in after the flop in a multi-way pot. All of his opponents folded and he asked, "Do you want to see?" Of course the table did and the man said, "Tip the dealer five dollars."

The player directly to his left pulled out a wad of cash and pulled out a $20 bill. The player who had moved all in gave the man change and then told the dealer to keep the entire $20 (meaning he tipped her $15 on top). He promptly showed pocket sixes for a flopped set and everyone was happy.

Dudani Flops a Set

Shiva Dudani
Shiva Dudani

Shiva Dudani raised to 3,900 from middle position only to have the cutoff move all in for around 15,000. Dudani, who barely had him covered, made the call.

Dudani: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Cutoff: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

Dudani was in bad shape, that is until the flop came down {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and gave him a set. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and {K-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Dudani sent his opponent to the rail while increasing his stack to aorund 33,000.

Pilgrim Gone

Dwyte Pilgrim
Dwyte Pilgrim

Dwyte Pilgrim has been nursing a short stack for quite some time and it looks like his number is up. We didn't catch the hand but Pilgrim was seen exiting the tournament area and his spot at the table was devoid of chips. Pilgrim, who finished third in the previous WSOPC Main Event at Council Bluffs, will not be adding to his point total in this tournament.

Karma for Kroon?

Mark Kroon was in the small blind and told the table that if action folded around to him he would simply muck and give the big blind a walk. Sure enough, action folded to him but Kroon decided a raise to 3,600 would suit him better. The big blind did not shy away and made the call.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and Kroon led out with a bet of 3,600. The big blind called and then both players checked the {8-Clubs} on the turn. When the {Q-Hearts} hit the river, Kroon bet a tiny 2,600 and was snap-called by the big blind. Kroon turned over {A-Spades}{J-Spades} but was way behind his opponent's flopped straight with {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

Kroon dropped to 56,000 after the hand while Steve Verrett, Kroon's poker buddy from Wisconsin who happened to be watching, told him, "It's karma for not folding it."
