Baldwin Busted

We reported a short while ago that Eric "Basebaldy" Baldwin was knocked down to under 8,000 after running into quads. Well when we went back to his table, we noticed that his seat was vacant, meaning that he has been eliminated.

Steve Takes Gross Beat, Eliminated

Steve "Gboro780" Gross was short stacked for much of the last few levels, and we walked by his table to see that he was all in preflop against another opponent. The cards were tabled, and he was well out in front.

Gross: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The flop was a brutal one for Gross, coming {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts} giving his opponent a set. The turn brought the {q-Clubs}, giving Gross a few more outs, but it wasn't meant to be, as the river came the {a-Clubs}. Gross took the beat well, and quietly made his exit to the rail.

Baldwin Can't Let Go

On a board reading {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} Eric Baldwin led for 2,250 and was called by a lone opponent in position. The river was the {q-Hearts} and Baldwin checked. As he did that, or perhaps slightly beforehand, the other competitors in the hand said, "I don't believe you have that queen." After some thought, the belief was strong enough to fire out 6,000.

"You don't believe me because you have it?" We weren't sure if that was a question or a statement at first but a must have been a question because Baldwin reluctantly called. Sure enough, {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} was tabled and Baldwin mucked his hand.

Flack And Elezra Gone

We just spotted Layne Flack making his way quickly out of the poker room and it appears he has been eliminated. Eli Elezra's seat has no chips in front of it as well and no Eli. I guess we'll have to find some new shows to watch around the poker room as two of the more animated characters have been eliminated early.

Moore Can't Catch Up

We picked up the action on a {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop with Charles "Woody" Moore checking raising his opponent all in. Moore had {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} against the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the river was the {10-Clubs} which resulted in Moore shipping over almost half his stack to the other side of the table. He busted shortly after.

Fielder Gets There

On a {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} board, Jeff Fielder had 7,500 in front of the betting line facing two all-in's behind him. The all in of Peter Desantis was for about 13,500 more and the other about 12,500 more. Eventually he made the call to put the two players at risk.

Fielder: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Desantis: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

While the other player in the hand was drawing dead, Fielder needed the board to pair in order to win the pot. The {6-Hearts} river did exactly that as he is now one of our early chip leaders. Disantis, on the other hand, was stunned.
