Douglas MacKinnon has been eliminated in 16th place, having lost most of his stack in a big hand versus Terry Grimes, then the rest shortly thereafter to Brandon Fish.
In the first hand, Trevor Deeter had opened for 45,000 from the hijack seat when Grimes reraise-shoved for 789,000 from the button. MacKinnon called the reraise, and Deeter folded, showing his as he did.
MacKinnon had and the big preflop edge over Grimes who held . But the flop fell to give Grimes a set. The turn was the , meaning MacKinnon would've been behind Deeter's Big Slick, too, if up against him. The dealer then burned one and turned over the river, and MacKinnon was suddenly down to just 25,000.
