"Seven"

Level 16 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Pedro Rios and Jake Schwartz were heads up on a board of {2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. There was around 60,000 in the middle, and Rios tanked for a bit before checking. Schwartz checked behind.

"Seven," Schwartz announced.

"A seven?" Rios blurted, standing up.

He held {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} in his hand, and Schwartz tabled {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

"I thought ace-high was good," Schwartz said, grinning. "I was calling."

Barbour Takes a Hit

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Chris Rauscher opened to 5,000 from early position Natasha Barbour three-bet to 9,000 on his direct left, and a third player cold-called from the small blind. Rauscher called as well.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and the action checked to Barbour. She continued for 10,000, and only the player in the blinds called.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, both players checked, and the {4-Clubs} completed the board. The player checked, Barbour slid 35,000 into the pot, and the player called.

"Good call," Barbour said, motioning her hand towards the muck.

The player didn't open his hand, insisting that Barbour show hers. She tossed it into the muck, and he opened {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of sevens,

Gimbel Fires River

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The board read {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and there was well over 50,000 in the middle when we came upon Harrison Gimbel and Rex Clinkscales engaged in a hand. Gimbel checked to Clinkscales who tapped the table right behind.

The river was the {6-Spades} and Gimbel fired 20,000. Clinkscales tanked before releasing his hand and awarding Gimbel the pot. Gimbel has been thriving here in Day 2 play and is currently sitting on about 245,000 in chips.
