Deeter Halts Vang's Comeback; "Lowball" Larry Ousted

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked Kou Vang moved all in under the gun for 100,000 and received a call from Trevor Deeter in middle position. The rest of the field folded and the cards were turned up.

Vang: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Deeter: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

Vang had gotten luck before, but he was all out of it now as the board ran out {7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Vang exited in 27th place and earned $3,938. Not too bad considering he moved up several pay jumps after being down to just a single gray T5,000 chip!

Meanwhile, Clint
Lilenthal was sent hom in 26th place.

Hinkle Nearing One Million

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

A player in middle position opened to 18,000, and Blair Hinkle on the button was the only caller. The flop came {7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, and Hinkle's opponent bet 19,000. Hinkle raised, and his opponent moved all in. Hinkle called.

Hinkle: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Middle Position: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The flop had been good to both players, but the {6-Diamonds} turn and {J-Hearts} river gave Hinkle's opponent nothing.

Fink Exits with Casino Championship Lead; Though Bonsack Can Catch Him

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mark Fink
Mark Fink

We caught the action on a board reading {3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades} and about 135,000 in the pot. Tim Hughes fired 37,000 from the small blind and Mark Fink, who won a ring a couple nights ago, moved all in from the button for roughly 145,000. Hughes barely had him covered and thought for about 30 seconds before calling. Fink had a look as if he'd been caught and was hesitant to turn over his {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Hughes revealed the {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and that was the end of the road for Fink.

Heading into the Main Event, Fink held the lead in the Casino Championship with 102.5 points. He earned five points for his 29th-place finish, giving him 107.5. That's 20 points ahead of Mark Bonsack, who is still in this tournament. If Bonsack can place 17th or better, he will overtake the lead.

Short Stacks Clash

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Two short stacks found good reason to go all in from early position at Table 36. Grant Hinkle had Everett Carlton slightly covered, and everyone else folded.

Hinkle: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Carlton: {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop brought a {6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} to keep Hinkle ahead, but Carlton found an {A-Clubs} on the turn. Unfortunately for him, the {8-Hearts} fell on the river, and he was finished in 30th place.

Vang on the Comeback Trail

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

About 25 minutes ago, Kou Vang was knocked down to a single gray T5,000 chip. He has now worked it up to 120,000!

After going runner-runner to make a straight and crack aces, Vang hit a two-outter on the river to double yet again. Most recently, Vang moved all in under the gun for 56,000 and received a call from Robert Cheung in the big blind.

Cheung: {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Vang: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Vang got it in good, but Cheung got a sweat as the {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop paired his eight. Luckily for Vang, neither the {7-Diamonds} turn nor {Q-Diamonds} river helped Cheung and he was able to double. Kang is sitting with half the chip average, but he's still in much better shape than he was at the end of last level.

Cavanaugh Doubles Through Bjerno

Level 21 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Casey Cavanaugh and Nathan Bjerno got all their chips in the middle preflop. Bjerno held the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and Cavanaugh had {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Cavanaugh's position only strengthened after the {7-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, and a {K-Clubs} on the turn left Bjerno drawing dead.

Tsinis Cracks Bonsack's Aces to Stay Alive

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Mark Bonsack has been on a heater as of late, but it cooled off after a big hand against Arkadiy Tsinis.

It began when Bonsack, who topped a field of 134 players in Event #6 $365 Limit Omaha 8 or Better to win $11,254 and his second ring just a few days back, opened for 14,000 under the gun. Action folded to Tsinis in the cutoff and he shoved for 72,000. The button and blinds both folded, and Bonsack snap-called.

Bonsack: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}
Tsinis: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}

Bonsack had Tsinis dominated, and the latter was up out of his seat and collecting his things in preparation for a quick exit. The {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop was dry for Tsinis, though the {9-Diamonds} turn gave him pause as it delivered him a flush draw. There would be no diamond on the river, but there was the {Q-Clubs}. Bonsack rolled his head back in disbelief and Tsinis retook his seat.

Garcia Loses a Flip

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Cord Garcia opened to 13,000 in late position. The player in the cutoff jammed his 67,000 chip stack into the middle. Everyone else folded, and Garcia tipped over a pile of orange chips to indicate he was calling.

Garcia: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Cutoff: {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}

Garcia remained ahead after {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} flopped, but the turn brought an {A-Diamonds} and the {9-Diamonds} river was no help to Garcia.
