Miegel Eliminated by DAGI

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante

"DAGI" raised to 1,500 from the hijack and was called by the player in the small blind and Jakob Miegel in the big blind.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}, the small blind checked, Miegel shoved for 4,550 in total. DAGI called and the small blind folded.

Jakob Miegel: {K-Spades}{4-Spades}
DAGI: {K-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

They both had a pair of kings but DAGI had the better kicker.

The rest of the board was completed with the {J-Spades} on the turn and the {Q-Hearts} on the river to give DAGI a flush in the end. Miegel left the tournament area but did say he'd reenter tomorrow.

Silcock Takes Petras Out

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Rickie Silcock
Rickie Silcock

The board read {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} with a pot of about 18,000 and Jan Petras had checked his big blind. The players in mid-position and the cutoff did the same. Rickie Silcock bet 7,000, Petras shoved for 27,400. The player in mid-position folded immediately, the player in the cutoff had a harder time trying to make a decision. He kept looking at Petras and Silcock. Especially eyeing Silcock's stack but after about two minutes, he decided to fold. Silcock called.

Jan Petras: {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Rickie Silcock: {A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

They had both hit trip eights but Silcock had the better kicker. He just needed to avoid another four or six to not have to double his opponent up.

The {Q-Clubs} on the river wasn't any of the outs his opponent needed and all the chips went to Silcock's stack.

Vojtech Ruzicka

Vojtech Ruzicka is moving up the chip counts and is sitting on just over 100,000. He eliminated American Jeremy Williams earlier with the American holding {a-}{k-} and was up against the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} of Ruzicka.

The board, however, came {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs} giving Vojtech a backdoor flush sending Williams to the rail.

It hasn't all been plain sailing. Later, an opponent check-called a bet of 1,400 on a {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board from Ruzicka and the pair then checked the {q-Spades} turn. Ruzicka's opponent bet 2,000 on the {6-Clubs} river. Ruzicka called but folded when shown {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Martin Kabrhel in High Roller Action

Three players saw a flop of {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and it was checked to Martin Kabrhel on the button who bet 2,500. One player folded and Radek Jantos called in early position. The {8-Spades} turn was checked to Kabrhel again and he moved all in for 23,175. Radek called quickly with {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

"Gamble, gamble?!" said Kabrhel, showing {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a straight and flush draws. The river was the {8-Clubs} and Kabrhel was eliminated.

Lybaert Doubles Up on the River

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Bart Lybaert
Bart Lybaert

The player in the cutoff raised to 1,300. The player on the button, Bart Lybaert, and Antoine Vranken in the blinds all called.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Lybaert shoved for 7,450. Vranken and the initial raiser both folded. The player on the button called.

Bart Lybaert: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Button: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

They had both flopped a pair of seven but Lybaert's opponent had the better kicker.

The turn brought them the {J-Spades} which didn't change the situation. The {4-Spades} on the river, however, gave Lybaert a straight for the double-up.
