The river came the {q-Clubs}. Thomas checked and Eyer cut out a bet of 180,000 to send Thomas into the tank. After a couple of minutes, the short-stacked Wayne Boyd asked Thomas to hurry the decision up or else he would call clock. Thomas waited a few more seconds and called.

Eyer turned over the {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for two pair and Thomas mucked as he dropped a few more chips.

Broadway on Board Saves Boyd in Unlikely Fashion

Level 24 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The flop came {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Wayne Boyd put out a meaty bet of 100,000. Boris Kasabov raised all in and Boyd quickly called.

It looked like a knockout punch for Kasabov to take out Boyd as the former had flopped the goods with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} while Boyd only had the {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

However, the board was merciful to Boyd as the {j-Hearts} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river gave each player identical Broadway straights to chop up the pot and pull a rabbit out of the hat to stave off Boyd's elimination.
