Day 1 of the 2019 World Series of Poker Seminole Coconut Creek $2,200 High Roller Event has come to an end. After 65 entrants took their shot at glory, just 20 remained at the end of play.

David DiBernardi ended as chip leader bagging an impressive haul of 174,500 which is almost six times the 30,000 starting stack. He had the fortune of busting defending champion Jerry Wong on two different occasions, which helped propel his stack into the lead.

Tied for second in chips are John Corsi and Cord Garcia at 124,000 each. Garcia is looking to continue his hot streak as he took down his third circuit ring earlier this week in Coconut Creek.

Ian O’Hara (119,000) and Sam Panzica (117,500) round out the top five chip counts.

Action will resume with Day 2 at 2 p.m local time on Friday at level 13 with blinds at 1,000/2,000 and with a 2,000 big blind ante. Registration does not close until play begins, so there is a last-minute opportunity for players to jump in and join the remaining 20 before play commences.

PokerNews will provide the Day 2 High Roller coverage in its entirety.

Late Day Heater for Bader

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The flop showed {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} and there was around 10,400 in the pot. Brett Bader checked to Martin Ryan who pushed in a bet and Bader instantly moved all in for 40,000 even. Ryan called and the two tabled their hands.

Brett Bader: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Martin Ryan: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

A {7-Hearts} peeled off on the turn and completed the flush for Bader who now had Ryan drawing dead to the {a-Diamonds} river. Bader scooped in another late pot, pushing him almost to the 100,000 mark.

Bader Snatches a Late Pot, Sends Jaffe Out

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Action at the table had Jonathan Jaffe all-in from the small blind and with a caller in Brett Bader in the big blind.

Jonathan Jaffe: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Brett Bader: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {10-}{5-}{8-}{6-}{9-} and Bader's rivered straight took down the pot, knocking Jaffe out of the tournament,

Prociak Finds a Fold

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The turned board read {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and there was 33,000 in the pot. David Prociak was first to act and bet 13,000.

His opponent took a moment but in the end, they let their hand go and Prociak took down the pot.

"Top one!" Said, Jake Schwartz and Prociak obliged, tabling the {j-Spades}.

"What the f***!" laughed Schwartz as Prociak pulled in the pot
