First Eliminations

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The following players were eliminated before the start of the third level which leaves the tournament with 121 players left out of 124 entries:

Pilipovi Outkicks Theobald

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Pilipe Pilipovi raised to 600 from under the gun and was only called by Paul Theobald in mid-position.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Pilipovi continued with a bet of 700 which Theobald called.

The {3-Hearts} on the turn made Pilipovi check-call the 1,200 bet of Theobald.

The river completed the board with the {8-Clubs} and Pilipovi checked again. Theobald now barreled a bet of 3,500 over the line which Pilipovi called. Theobald tabled {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for the two pair on the board with the king-kicker but Pilipovi quickly turned his {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} around for the higher ace-kicker to claim the pot.

Some More Familiar Faces

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

There are now more than 100 players showing on the tournament clock in the second level of the day and these are some of the more familiar faces who have taken their seat at the tables:

Gotsadze Over Luske

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The board read {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades} with around 3,500 in the pot already.

Gaga Gotsadze had checked in the big blind and Martin Kuba did the same from mid-position. Marcel Luske bet 2,000 from the hijack and Gotsadze decided to raise to 5,600. Kuba quickly got out of their way while Luske made the call.

The river completed the board with the {j-Spades} and which both players checked. Gotsadze showed he held {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for the turned straight and that was enough to make Luske muck.

A Full House for Esrom

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Vadym Sienichkin limped in from under the gun and so did Tamas Szunyoghy in the hijack, and Bjorn Esrom in the cutoff. Duc Son Dang and Peter Bodis opted to check in the blinds.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, everyone checked to Esrom who decided to bet 200 which all but Bodis called.

They all checked through the {10-Hearts} on the turn to the {9-Diamonds} on the river. Once again, they all checked except Esrom who decided to bet 600. Dang quickly folded and Sienichkin called while Szunyoghy also folded. Esrom tabled {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the rivered full house and that was enough to make Sienichkin muck his own hand.
