Nagygyorgy Doubles Through Galant

Level 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

With some 49,000 in the middle to the three-way flop of {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Oleh Shkapenko checked out of the big blind and Robert Galant did the same from under the gun. Tibor Nagygyorgy then bet 13,000 with exactly 20,000 behind. Shkapenko folded and Galant then moved all-in for his opponent to sigh-call.

Tibor Nagygyorgy: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Robert Galant: {6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The {8-Spades} turn and {5-Spades} river improved Galant to two pair but Nagygyorgy made the nut flush to double.

Blasko and Rolif Score Knockouts

Level 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

The cards and board were already rushed away as Emil Bise's second bullet went down in flames in a matter of minutes. His starting stack was shipped over to Marek Blasko, who held up with {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} on what appeared to have been a queen-high board.

One table over, Lorenzo Lavis was also on his way out as Eugen Rolif was busy raking in the chips. Rolif's {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} had been the best hand on a board of {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, as it made the top pair and top kicker.

Recent Eliminations

Level 4 : 200/500, 500 ante

Philipp Panchalingam was among the recent eliminations when he got it in after a queen-high flop against John Johnna. His {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} represented an overpair and was well ahead of the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} of Johnna. However, the {a-} turn and {q-} river improved Johnna to trips queens and spelled the end for Panchaligam after his last 500 chips vanished the next hand.

In the meanwhile, Sergiu Covrig and Birger Ohl were eliminated for the second time and can only fire one more entry on Day 1a.

Bise Loses Loads; Busts After

Level 4 : 200/500, 500 ante
Emil Bise
Emil Bise

Four ways to the {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Emil Bise on the button and he bet 10,000. Only Stephanie Agostinetti called out of the big blind while Andro Scarpa from under the gun and Janja in the cutoff folded.

The {7-Spades} turn was checked and Agostinetti then bet the {8-Diamonds} river for 25,000. Bise mulled it over for a few seconds and called to get shown the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} by Agostinetti, briefly flashing his {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for trips eights. After the hand was over, Bise banged his hand on the table and the remaining 14,000 chips vanished shortly after.

Mrakes Boosts Stack Without Showdown

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

With just 10,000 in the middle to the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop, a raising war broke out between Michal Mrakes and Eugen Rolif. The latter eventually squeezed to 41,000 only for Mrakes to then move all-in for around 81,500 in total. Rolif tanked for two minutes and sent the cards into the muck as Mrakes claimed nearly one full starting stack in the process without the need to show.

Neuville Survives Showdown Against Parmisciano

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The cards were already on their backs when Pierre Neuville was all-in for 14,100 on the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. He was looked up by the table big stack Aguinaldo Parmisciano in the small blind, who had more than tripled up his stack already.

Pierre Neuville: {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Aguinaldo Parmisciano: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {a-Spades} turn and {4-Spades} river avoided the second bustout of Neuville but he remained below the starting stack.

Recent Eliminations

Level 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The pace of eliminations has picked up in the third level of the day. Among the recent casualties was PLO specialist Ermanno Di Nicola and he was joined on the rail by Andrei Makavets, Narcis Nedelcu and Ali Sameeian. The latter had mentioned not long ago that he lost most of his stack with kings versus aces to then depart a few minutes later.

Out of a field of 184 entries, only 155 players remain in the third level of the day.
