Day 1c Completed
Day 1c was the largest and longest of the Day 1 flights with 778 entries that took nearly 16 hours to play down to under 10% with 76 players to end the night. It was a day full of action that leads into Day 2 seamlessly.
Ending the night as the runaway chip leader was Hussein Hassan who bagged a gargantuan 2,037,000. He caught fire at the end of the night as he held a big chip lead in the final levels but extended that lead even more in one of the last hands of the night when he was called after a river bet with the nut flush.
Well behind in second place was Kevin Javier with 937,000 and Sebastien Aube in third with 902,000 as the only other two players to bag more than 900,000.
A notable who found his way to Day 2 was Santiago Plante who bagged 650,000. He got the vast majority of his chips in a crazy aces vs aces cooler, where he found the four-card diamond flush to brutally bust his opponent and allow him to cruise into Day 2 from there.
Some other notables to make it through to Day 2 included; David Guay, Diana Shamshoum and Daniel Chalifour.

Three eliminations in the final hand of the night at the very end of Level 19 means that Day 1c is over after close to 16 hours. Chip counts and recap to come.
With two eliminations away until the 10% stopping threshold, Day 1c is now in hand for hand play to make things a bit slower in what has already been a grueling day of poker that has now extended past 15 hours.
Players are set to return in less than 9 hours at 11 a.m. for Day 2.
Robin Wezelenburg was spotted gathering a double up with his A♣Q♣ showing on a board of 9x10x2xQx5x. Hassan Hussein's losing hand was already turned over and discarded as he counted out the amount to give to his left to Wezelenburg.
Despite losing this hand, Hussein remains as the chip leader late in the night on Day 1c.

The field has reached another break. The night will not end until there are 78 players left.
There was an already large pot of about 321,000 in the middle as the flop showed 2♠K♠4♣. From the hijack, Jonathan Petit-Levesque moved all in to force Johan Levyssohn to decide for his remaining 115,000 in middle position.
Levyssohn shifted in his seat and tried to stare down Petit-Levesque across the dealer in the awkward seat 9 to 1 position. After quite a while he eventually folded his hand as Petit-Levesque smiled and gathered the large pot.
