Day 2 Completed
An eventful Day 2 of the 2024 World Series of Poker Circuit Playground Main Event has come to an end after close to 11 hours of play. Of the 149 players who started the day, just 20 remained at the end of it who still have a chance at the $350,000 grand prize.
James Pillon ended the day as the chip leader with 6,630,000. He started to accumulate a large amount of chips in the middle part of the day and really gained steam at the end of the night to finish as the leader.
Jishant Sapra finished second in chips with 4,715,000. He gained a big pot in the early part of the day with aces against ace-king and never looked back from there. Duff Charette and Tommy Nguyen finished third and fourth close in chips with Charette accumulated a lot earlier while Nguyen had a late level surge to boost himself up into the top contenders.
Arnaud Bonhomme-Lemieux had an eventful day as he was involved in several interesting hands and won several all in flips to finish with the eighth largest stack.

And last but not least is defending champion Dustin Melanson who bagged the shortest stack but will head into the final day still with a chance of completing the improbable back-to-back.

Day 3 will start up at 11 a.m. on Monday where PokerNews will be on hand for all of the action.
