Pflock's Ladies Keep Him in the Tournament

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With 25,000 left in his stack, Pascal Pflock jammed from early position. Once Alexander Huber peeked at his cards in the big blind, he instantly called with the covering stack.

Pascal Pflock: QQ All in
Alexander Huber: AK

Huber's big slick didn't connect with the board of 4753J in any way, which meant Pflock's queens won the pot, earning him a crucial double-up.

Tatar Shoves Into the Second Nuts

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Marek Tatar
Marek Tatar

With around 50,000 in the pot on a board showing KQ104, Marek Tatar overbet jammed for 101,000 from early position. After deliberating for quite some time, Angelo Arossi stuck in the call from the button, and the cards were revealed.

Marek Tatar: 76 All in
Angelo Arossi: J9

Arossi was way out in front with a straight and just needed to dodge a diamond on the river to send Tatar home.

The dealer burned a card and then put out the 8 to complete the board. Arossi's straight won the pot, and his stack climbed to about 280,000, while Tatar headed to the rail.

Sailboats Helps Costa Get Back to Starting Stack

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Faessler came in for a raise to 4,500 under the gun before Artur Paes Costa shoved the button for his last 28,000. Once the blinds folded, Faessler called for almost half of his stack.

Artur Paes Costa: 44 All in
Daniel Faessler: AK

Costa managed to come out on top of the flip with his small pocket pair, as Faessler's big slick remained unimproved on the 51097J runout.

Sanli Can't Crack Boos' Aces as Mueller Hits the Rail

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Thomas Sanli
Thomas Sanli

Mario Boos came in for a raise to 3,000 from the hijack. Marco Mueller called on the button, Thomas Sanli called out of the small blind, and Nuri Acar defended his big blind.

Sanli led out for 5,000 on the 496 flop, and Acar folded. Boos called before Mueller jammed for about 20,000. Sanli quickly called, and the action was back on Boos. After giving it some thought, Boos back-jammed for 49,800. Sanli didn't hesitate to make the call with the covering stack and the chance to bust two players.

Marco Mueller: 109 All in
Mario Boos: AA All in
Thomas Sanli: 85

Boos held pocket aces, Mueller had top pair and a flush draw, while Sanli had a gutshot straight draw with a smaller flush draw.

A 3 on the turn was safe for Boos, and so was the Q to complete the board. Mueller was out, and Boos almost tripled up with his pocket rockets.

Gassmann Felts Zumkehr

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Gert Zumkehr raised to 4,000 under the gun and Manuel Gassmann was the only caller from the big blind.

Gassmann started with a check on the A410 flop, and Zumkehr continued for 4,000. Gassmann slid in a call.

Another check came from Gassmann on the 8 turn, and Zumkehr jammed for 15,300. Gassmann snap-called.

Gert Zumkehr: AK All in
Manuel Gassmann: A8

Zumkehr held top pair top kicker, although Gassmann had taken the lead on the turn with aces up.

Zumkehr needed a king or ten on the river to stay alive, but he was unable to find it as the Q completed the board. Gassmann dragged in the pot, and Zumkehr was out.
