Mallon's Top Pair is Good at Showdown

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Heads-up to the turn on a board that showed 963J. Out of the big blind, Nils Mallon knuckled the action over to Marek Tatar in the hijack. Tatar bet 55,000, which Mallon called.

Mallon checked again on the 10 river, and after a bit of tanking, Tatar checked behind.

Mallon tabled J8 for a pair of jacks, causing Tatar to return his cards face down back to the dealer, giving up the pot to Mallon.

With Tofan all-in, Kratzer and Marrer checked the JK762 runout all the way day.

Rishi Karan

Rishi Karan min-raised to 12,000 under the gun before Mihai Tabac three-bet to 39,000 from the small blind. Karan called, and the dealer spread out the 897 flop.

Both players checked and the Q arrived on the turn. Tabac opted to place out a delayed continuation-bet of 30,000, which Karan called.

A 4 completed the board, and Tabac shoved for 116,000. Karan snap-called and was shown AA for a pair of aces by Tabac. Karan showed 5x5x for fifth pair as a large portion of his stack was sent over to Tabac.

Marxer's Main Event is Over

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Nicola Marxer jammed out of the small blind for around 12,000 and Manuel Lussi made the call from the big blind.

Nicola Marxer: 107 All in
Manuel Lussi: K8

Marxer was the shortest stack in the tournament and needed to connect with the board in any way to begin his spin-up.

The AA5 flop didn't help Marxer, but the 7 on the turn put him ahead with a pair of sevens. However, the K peeled off on the river, giving Lussi a higher pair, and Marxer was the newest addition to the rail.
