Cluzel Takes Down a Limped Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Damien Cluzel
Damien Cluzel

In a limped pot, five players saw the flop of 38Q fall. After three checks, Daniele Polverno bet 4,500 from the hijack. Saverio Scia called on the button, and Damien Cluzel called out of the small blind.

Three ways to the J turn, where the action checked to Scia, who bet 5,000. Cluzel and Polverno called to see a 7 to complete the board.

All three checked and Cluzel tabled 83 for a flopped two pair to take down the pot. Polverno flashed KxQx for a pair of queens as the pot headed over to Cluzel.

Enz Picks Up a Small Multi-Way Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Christian Enz checked from the small blind upon seeing the dealer spread out the 4210 flop. Nils Mallon fired for 5,000 out of the hijack, which got Sebastian Fischer to fold on the button. Enz continued via a call.

A Q on the turn was checked by both players and the 5 completed the board. Enz bet 6,000, which was enough to get a fold out of Mallon.

Inarra Spikes the River to Bust Biland

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Benat Inarra
Benat Inarra

Benat Inarra opened the button to 2,400 and Samuel Biland jammed for 14,400 from the big blind. Inarra got an exact count from the dealer before making the call to try and bust Biland.

Samuel Biland: A4 All in
Benat Inarra: K7

Biland was slightly ahead with ace-high and moved even further ahead after the AK4 came down to give him aces up.

An 8 on the turn meant only a two-outer king on the river would save Biland. The miracle K rolled off on the river to give Inarra trips, and Biland was out.

Alexandridis Puts Fischer Deep in the Tank

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Three ways to a flop of A102 and with 17,500 in the pot. Christian Arpagaus checked first from the small blind and Sebastian Fischer fired out a bet of 4,000 from middle position. Symeon Alexandridis called on the button, and Arpagaus folded.

Both players checked through the 3 turn to see the 8 arrive on the river. Fischer opted to bet 6,000, and after a short time, Alexandridis raised to 17,000.

Fishcer mulled over how to proceed for quite some time before reluctantly folding and giving up the pot to Alexandridis.

Spicher Cracks Molinod's Cowboys

Level 7 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Guillaume Molinod
Guillaume Molinod

Nicola Spicher raised to 2,500 from middle position before Guillaume Molinod three-bet to 7,500 on the button. Spicher four-bet to 21,000, and Molinod five-bet jammed, covering Spicher. Spicher called for his stack of 65,000 total to put himself at risk.

Nicola Spicher: AK All in
Guillaume Molinod: KK

It was a cooler of ace-king against kings, and Spicher needed to find an ace to stay seated in the tournament.

The flop came down Q103 to give Spicher a few extra outs in the form of a gutshot. Spicher took a commanding lead when the A rolled off on the turn as he improved to top pair.

The 5 completed the runout, and Spicher doubled through Molinod.
