Merk Takes it Down on the Flop

Level 6 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Andreas Merk made it 2,100 from under the gun before Oscar Ferrero three-bet to 6,300 from the next position. Manfred Mueller cold-called in the hijack. Merk also called and the three players saw the flop of 2Q2 fall.

Merk checked first and Ferrero decided to continuation-bet for 3,500. Mueller called before Merk check-raised to 10,000. Ferrero quickly folded, but Mueller gave it some thought before also letting go of his cards.

Bertsch's Aggression Earns Him the Pot

Level 6 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Rainer Bertsch raised under the gun to 2,200 with Benat Inarra calling from middle position. Samuel Biland squeezed it up to 7,000 from the button, which Bertsch and Inarra called.

Three ways to the 36A flop where the action checked to Biland, who fired for 4,400. Bertsch called and Inarra folded.

Bertsch checked again on the 2 turn and Biland placed out a bet of 11,000 with about 25,000 behind. Bertsch check-raised to 30,000, and after a long tank, Biland folded and relinquished the pot to Bertsch.

Tojan Flops a Set to Double Through Sen

Lucian Tofan raised from middle position and Marc Sen three-bet to roughly 4,500 from the hijack. When it got back to Tofan, he called and the dealer spread out the 5J6 flop.

Tofan checked, and Sen fired out for 3,200. Tofan went for the most aggressive option available and check-raised to 9,000. Tofan continued via a call.

The 7 dropped on the turn and Tofan slid out a bet totalling 7,500. Again, Sen called.

Once the 2 completed the board, Tofan did some inventory of his stack, which amounted to 35,700, and then jammed. Sen immediately called.

Tofan turned over a flopped set with 66, which earned him a double-up as Sen tabled AJ for top pair.

With 30,000 already in the middle, Marcel Maurer and Ioannis Chorianopoulos were staring at a flop of 866. Maurer checked first from the small blind before facing a bet of 7,500 from Chorianopoulos out of the big blind. Maurer continued via a call.

Two checks came after the 4 turn to see a 5 land on the river. Maurer fired for 26,000, and after deliberating for a while, Chorianopoulos returned his cards to the dealer.

As the pot headed over to Maurer, he windmilled 109 for a bluff across the table, ensuring everyone saw.

Gehrmann Fires the River to Get Two Folds

Three ways to a flop of 827 and with about 7,500 in the pot.

Ralph Straehl was first to bet from the big blind and tossed out a bet of 3,500. Michael Gehrmann called on the cutoff, and Lowell Kim came along from the button.

All three checked through the J turn and the 3 landed on the river. Straehl checked again before Gehrmann fired for 9,000. This was enough to earn Gehrmann the pot as both of his opponents folded.

Neculai Macovei opened up the action to 1,200 from early position and Manfred Muller called in the small blind. Adrian Ziemichod three-bet to 5,000 out of the big blind, which only Macovei called.

The dealer spread out the 783 flop and Ziemichod continued for 3,500. Macovei stuck around with a call.

Check, check came after the 10 turn, and the 6 rolled off on the river. Ziemichod fired for 7,000, and a brief tank, Macovei tossed his cards away.
