The remaining 50 players are going on their second 15-minute break of the day.
After Alain Ferrari checked from the small blind, and Samuel Klocker knuckeld the table from middle position, Flynn Meichtry fired out for 115,000 from the cutoff with the board showing 8♥7♠J♣6♣. Ferrari and Klocker called.
Ferrari and Klocker checked to Meichtry again on the A♣ river, and after a few moments, Meichtry fired for 350,000.
Ferrari spent close to three-minutes in the tank before having the clock called on him. In the end, he folded, and Klocker pondered briefly before sliding in the calling chips.
Meichtry winced and showed J♠9♠ for a pair of jacks. Klocker revealed the same pair of jacks with J♥10♣, but his ten-kicker played, and he was awarded the pot.
A pot of around 350,000 had amassed between Pascal Brechot in the big blind and Vivian Saliba in middle position.
With the completed board showing 7♠Q♣K♦2♥7♥, Brechot jammed, putting Saliba to the test for her remaining 140,000 or so.
Saliba went deep into the tank and was visibly agonizing over the spot Brechot put her in. Saliba eventually flicked in the call.
Brechot sheepishly tossed J♥10♥ into the middle for a missed straight draw. Saliba tabled K♥Q♥ for top two pair and she began stacking up her newly acquired chips.
Florian Gehbauer got all of his 380,000 chips into the middle preflop with Frank Pelster trying to win them all.
Florian Gehbauer: A♣J♠
Frank Pelster: 10♥10♦
Peister's pair of tens remained in the lead through the 4♣8♠9♥ flop and 6♠ turn. Only an ace or a jack on the river could save Gehbauer.
The dealer burned a card and then put out the J♦ to complete the board, giving Gehbauer top pair, and he doubled up.
Pelster was left with under ten big blinds, and was eeliminated a few hands later.
Three ways to the A♣8♣3♦ flop, which saw Vivian Saliba check from the big blind. Gerald Karlic bet 27,000 from under the gun, and only Eros Calderone called in the hijack.
The 3♥ hit the turn, and Karlic fired a second barrel of 85,000. Calderone again just called.
A 8♦ rolled off to complete the board, and after getting a rough estimation of Calderone's stack, Karlic jammed. Calderone snap-called for his remaining 111,000 and was shown a bluff by Karlic with J♠10♥. Calderone tabled A♦J♣ for top pair, and the pot went his way.
