Caim Crosses Seven Figures

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Baptiste Caim raised his button to 20,000. Luis Miretti Bonetto defended the big blind and check-called Caim's continuation-bet of 25,000 on the K103 flop.

The duo then checked through the A turn, prompting Miretti to bet 57,000 on the J river.

"Really?" Caim asked before he moved all in. Miretti instantly folded, leaving himself a stack of nearly 45 big blinds on the bubble.

Mjagkov Exits to Put Day 1b on Stone Bubble

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Andrei Mjagkov
Andrei Mjagkov

Andrei Mjagkov open-shoved his 70,000 remaining chips in from the hijack. It folded to Vladimiras Meckovskis in the big blind, who swiftly called.

Andrei Mjagkov: A10 All in
Vladimiras Meckovskis: JJ

Meckovskis flopped a set on QJ2, and filled up on the 2 turn to leave Mjagkov drawing dead. The 5 river was rendered meaningless as Majgkov's fate had already been decided.

The field was left with 35 players, meaning one more elimination needed to take place to burst the bubble and end Day 1b. The tournament would proceed hand for hand until that elimination happened.

Julkunen Pressures Persent, Eliminates Him

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jussi Julkunen raised to 16,000 in the hijack. Jon Persent then three-bet to 65,000 in the small blind, which Julkunen called.

Persent continued for 35,000 on the 9KJ flop, but Julkunen wanted to play for it all and moved all in. Julkunen's stack of 210,000 was covered, and after some thought, he let go of his cards to concede the pot.

Not much later, Persent was eliminated by his nemesis, putting the field two spots away from the money.

Vanloot Sends Chmielowski Packing

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Robin Vanloot
Robin Vanloot

In a single-raised pot to the 3Q8 flop, Robin Vanloot checked from the small blind to Krzysztof Chmielowski on the button, who bet 16,000. Vanloot then raised to 45,000, prompting Chmielowski to send in his stack of 185,000.

Vanloot spent some minutes thinking things through before he called to put last year's runner-up at risk.

Krzysztof Chmielowski: A10 All in
Robin Vanloot: QJ

Chmielowski turned extra outs on the 10, but Vanloot's flopped top pair remained best on the 8 river to eliminate Chmielowski five spots before the money.

Caim Coolers Olsen to the Rail

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Baptiste Caim raised to 12,000 in the hijack. Erling Olsen three-bet to 30,000 on the button, which Caim clicked back to 75,000. Olsen then moved all in for around 130,000, and Caim snapped him off.

Erling Olsen: QQ All in
Baptiste Caim: KK

The KQ6 flop gave both players a set, leaving Olsen with one out in the deck. The final queen did not show itself on the 3 turn or 9 river, eliminating Olsen a few spots before the money.
