Shuffle Up and Deal!

After a brief overview of the rules (perhaps due to the high number of penalties issued throughout Day 1), the tournament director has given the command to shuffle up and deal and we're off!

Harveys Lake Tahoe - Day 2

Good morning, good afternoon or good evening, depending on where you are in the world. PokerNews is back on site here at Harveys Hotel & Casino in beautiful South Lake Tahoe getting ready for the start of Day 2 play of the 2007 WSOPC Harveys Lake Tahoe Main Event Championship.

Day 1 saw the rise and fall of 103 hopefuls, leaving us with just 39 players at the start of Day 2. The plan for today is to play down to the final nine players who will compete tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m. PST for the $203,649 top prize.

Interestingly, of the 39 players remaining, only one of them does not call the United States home. That player is Sylvester "Vesty" Geoghegan, who begins the day with the eighth largest chip stack (56,300). Also near the top of the leaderboard is 2000 WSOP Main Event Champ Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, who will start with 63,300.
