Jennifer Harman Builds Her Stack

When you don't have a lot of chips any pot you drag gives you a little more room to maneuver. With her stack hovering around 10K Harman called a 1,000 raise one off the button. Both players checked the {9-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} flop, and after the {10-Hearts} fell on the turn Harman bet 1,500 and was called. Both players checked after the {7-Clubs} on the river, and Harman's {J-Spades} {10-Spades} trumped her opponent's {A-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}.

A few hands later Harman mixed it up with Chad Brown. With the board reading {Q-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} Brown bet 3,000 and Harman moved all-in. Brown called and Harman flipped over {8-Spades} {8-Clubs} for the boat and brought her stack up to 23,000.

Layne Flack Doubles Up

After a flop of {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Layne Flack bet 2,000 from the small blind, and his opponent called from middle position. The turn card was the {6-Clubs}, Flack bet 5,000, his opponent pushed, and Flack quickly called all in for his last 2,200. Flack showed K-10 for two pair, but his opponent had outs with K-J. The river card was the {2-Clubs}, and Flack doubled up to about 20,000.

Doyle Brunson Reminisces

Doyle Brunson makes it 800 under the gun and Layne Flack calls. The flop is {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Both check. The turn is {Q-Spades}. Both check. The river is {6-Clubs} and Flack bets 800. Brunson tanks for awhile and folds. "I wonder how I got rich sometimes," Brunson says. "Now I remember."
