How Long Are the Lines?

Jack Effel just announced that the start of the Casino Employee's Tournament has been pushed back an hour to 6PM. The reason is the long, LONG line snaking just outside the Amazon Room. How big is it? Jack just said that there are over ONE THOUSAND PEOPLE waiting to register. So, like we said, if you plan to play, register early.

Tom Schneider Eliminated by Dustin Woolf

Tom Schneider was all in preflop for 5,100 against Dustin 'Neverwin' Woolf. Schneider showed {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, but he was dominated by Woolf's {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Schneider got an apparent reprieve when he saw a queen in the window, but the entire flop came {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and it was now set-over-set instead of pair-over-pair. Schneider still had some catching up to do.

The last two cards were {3-Spades}{A-Hearts}, and Tom Schneider was eliminated.

Lee Watkinson Surrenders Some Chips

In early position Lee Watkinson raises to 425 and is called by J.C. Tran, another player in the small blind and Kathy Liebert in the big. The flop came {4-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {4-Spades} and after two checks from the blinds Watkinson bet 1,500. The small blind was the only caller, and both he and Watkinson checked the {6-Hearts} on the turn. They also checked the {6-Diamonds} on the river and the small blind turned over pocket sevens to take the pot.

John Phan Takes a Hit

A player in early position raises to 400, John Phan reraises from the cutoff to 800, and his opponent moves all in for 3,500. Phan calls with {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}, but he's up against {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}. The board comes {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and the kings hold up, doubling up the other player and taking a big bite out of Phan's stack.

ESPN's Dress Rehearsal

ESPN is going to be taping the final table for this event, but that's not until Sunday afternoon. Now that the final table arena is nearing completion (it's much more impressive than previous years), they are going through their dress rehearsals.

But it's not a dress rehearsal for the players. They took a table from the field and relocated it to the TV table. Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson, Mimi Tran, and Alex Jacobs are now sitting at the not-very-featured table.
