Joe Awada Eliminated

[user22113]
Awada moved all in preflop with pocket aces and was called by an opponent who turned over pocket queens.

Things were looking good for Awada, as the board took shape: {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, but the {Q-Clubs} on the river was one of two cards he didn't want to see.

The hand eliminated Joe from the tournament.

Vanessa Selbst Eliminated

[user22113]
Vanessa Selbst's found herself all in with {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and looked to have Barry Greenstein's {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} dominated. But on a board of {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Spades}, Barry had an open-ended straight draw as well as the flush draw. Greenstein connected when the river brought the {J-Clubs} and Selbst was eliminated.

After the hand Selbst asked, "Barry, don't I get a book or something?"

"No, you don't," was Greenstein's reply. Barry is known to give players who knock him out a copy of his book.
